The Single
Peace be upon you, dear friends. A brother asked me some days ago to speak about the phenomenon of pages that mock single young men. Who is the single young man? He is the one who does not engage in romantic relationships with girls, meaning he does not hang out with girls. These pages describe these young men as if they are an abnormal case, pitiful, outcasts, and that they have no girlfriends.
My commentary is based on a verse and a hadith.
The Noble Verse: "And others have confessed their sins"
The verse is the word of Allah the Almighty: {And others have confessed their sins, mixing a righteous deed and another evil; perhaps Allah will forgive them. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful}.
The verse speaks about people who sometimes fall into sins, but despite that, they cover up for themselves, and they are aware that they are wrong. What is their status with Allah? {Perhaps Allah will forgive them}, they are hoped for repentance that Allah will help them to leave sins in this world, and that He will forgive them in the Hereafter, {Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful}.
When you openly commit sin, and even dare others to do so, and mock those who do not do what you do, you deprive yourself of this verse, you deprive yourself of being among those {Perhaps Allah will forgive them}.
The Noble Hadith: "All of my nation is excused except the open sinners"
As for the hadith, it is the saying of the Prophet peace be upon him: "All of my nation is excused except the open sinners." Every individual from the nation of Muhammad is hoped for safety on the Day of Judgment.
When you mock those who do not do what you do, you are a tool, a puppet in the hands of the enemies of the religion, because you are executing their plans. The enemies of the religion, both inside and outside, want to dare people to commit sins, and to make light of the rulings of the Sharia, and to make light of what Allah has said and what His Messenger has said. When you mock those who do not do what you do, you are a tool, a puppet, and a means in the hands of the enemies of the religion.
A Message to Single Young Men
This is my commentary. And I say to the brothers who are mocked, the single brothers, I say to them: Your name with Allah the Almighty is obedient youth, chaste youth, pious youth. You are chaste and pure.
Say to those who mock you: Yes, I want to remain single, because you and I will both come before Allah on the Day of Judgment, each of us alone, {And all of them will come to Him on the Day of Resurrection alone}. O you who mock me, you will come before Allah the Almighty alone, and this mockery will not benefit you, nor these pages, nor anyone you see who mocks with you. You will come before Allah alone.
Until Allah the Almighty permits lawful marriage in this world, and the everlasting bliss in the Hereafter. We ask Allah the Most High to purify our hearts and forgive our sins.
