The Six Prisoners... Lessons and Reflections
Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.
Lessons and Insights from the Incident of the Six Prisoners
Dear esteemed audience, the return of the prisoners after their escape should not erase from our memory the lessons we have learned. Some have been disheartened and concluded that there is no need to attempt liberation at all, which is the opposite of what we should learn.
Lesson One: Willpower Overcomes Material Superiority
The escape of the prisoners with the simplest of tools shattered the idol of military machinery and intelligence control, and taught us that these people are not gods who do as they please, but are subdued by the decrees of Allah, who humbles them and breaks their awe with the simplest of reasons.
The escape of the prisoners taught us that the lesson is not in material superiority, but for Muslims to seize the means to the utmost and Allah disposes as He wills. This is the same lesson we learned from the events of Afghanistan.
Lesson Two: No to Inability and Justifying Treachery
The escape of the prisoners was as if it came as a reminder from Allah to the nation that no one should say, "I cannot." What the prisoners did was impossible by all measures, but with the will of Allah, miracles are made. Do not be helpless and do not listen to those who justify treachery and siding with the enemies of Allah under the pretext that we cannot confront them.
But the prisoners were returned, yes, and this does not nullify these lessons. Allah willed to deliver the prisoners this message to the nation and then return them. They succeeded in delivering this message. If we forget all of this and do not learn from it, then we are the ones who have failed, not them.
Surrendering to material superiority and deciding not to attempt means that we are putting the shackles on our own hearts and wills, and putting the noose around our necks for those who frighten us with their weapons.
Lesson Three: Beware of the Internal Enemy
The greatest danger to us, as Allah the Almighty said: {They are the enemy, so beware of them}. It is our duty to be enemies of these criminals and not to soften our stance towards them under the pretext that they are brothers of the nation or because their names are Muslim names. These people are not to be accompanied, nor to be appeased, nor to be respected, nor to be listened to, nor to be obeyed, neither they nor those who obey their orders. But they are the enemy, so beware of them. May Allah fight those who misguide them.
And the Muslims will not stand if they remain soft and appeasing in dealing with those who coordinate and admit that they coordinated to arrest the prisoners.
Lesson Four: Honoring Those Who Aided the Prisoners
On the other hand, those who tried to aid the prisoners in their escape and sheltered them, their stance is great even if they were afflicted because of that. And we must raise ourselves and our children to stand like him in chivalry and loyalty to the Muslims and aiding them. And then, all the forces of evil on earth will not stand before us.
And we ask Allah to relieve this noble youth and all the Muslim prisoners.
Lesson Five: The Issue of Prisoners is Present in Minds
The incident of the prisoners reminds us that we must keep the issue of the prisoners, all Muslim prisoners, present in our minds, and strive for their release as much as we can, and not forget them in our supplications, and check on their families and meet their needs. These are all lessons that we must not forget, even if the prisoners return.
If you have known, then hold fast, and Allah is dominant over His affair, but most people do not know.
Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.
