What Should You Teach Your Child to Protect Them from Disbelief?

The family is the most important fortress against atheism, doubts, and skepticism. The best thing you can do with your children, with your brothers, with those who are dear to you, is to educate them with the Quran. This is something that all the corruptors combined cannot prevent you from doing.

Educating on the Reality of Trials in This World

First, educate yourself, then your children, that we were created in this world to be tested. "It is He who created death and life to test you." This is a fact: "to test you." So that your child does not become like those who say, "I left Islam after I saw my brothers being killed and my friends being killed."

Educate your child on: "Muhammad is but a messenger. Messengers have passed away before him. If he dies or is killed, will you then turn back on your heels?" And whoever turns back on his heels will not harm Allah at all, and Allah will reward the grateful." Tell your child: "O my son, Allah the Almighty has not promised us that He will not test us, far be it from Him to do so, but He has promised us that He will test us. "And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient."

Educate your son and daughter on: "You will be tested in your wealth and yourselves, and you will hear from those who were given the Scripture before you and from the polytheists a great deal of abuse." Tell your child: "O my son, do not expect the reward for your deeds in this world. This world is a place of trial, not a place of reward. 'And you will not be given your [full] recompense except on the Day of Resurrection,' as Allah the Almighty has said. Do not tell your child: 'O my son, pray that our Lord may help you in your studies, give charity from your wealth so that our Lord may increase your wealth.' No, pray that our Lord may be pleased with you. And after you pray and strive, our Lord may test you, but He will be with you.

"O my son, establish prayer, enjoin what is right, and forbid what is wrong, and be patient over what befalls you." So that your child does not become like those who say, "I searched for our Lord and did not find Him in the children who are suffering, in those who are imprisoned without fault." Educate them on that: "And if Allah had willed, He could have taken vengeance on them, but [He ordered] that some of you should be tested by others."

Educating on Steadfastness and Strength of Character

Educate your son and daughter on: "And We have made some of you a trial for others, will you be patient? And your Lord is ever Seeing." So that your daughter does not become like the character in the movie who says, "The Muslims have betrayed the revolution, and my soul does not want to belong to those people."

Educate your son and daughter on: "O you who have believed, be conscious of yourselves. No harm will come to you from those who have gone astray if you are guided." Educate them to have a zeal for their religion, so that when they see people betraying the banner of Islam, they do not become enemies of Islam, spreading doubt and skepticism, and stabbing Islam in the back instead of carrying the banner of Islam if they were truly sincere.

Educate your sons and daughters on: "O you who have believed, be supporters of Allah." So that they carry the banner and defend Islam. So that your daughter does not become like those who say, "I took off my hijab and niqab, so I became disbelievers." May Allah help us.

Educate them on: "Those to whom the people said, 'The people have gathered against you, so fear them.' But it only increased them in faith, and they said, 'Allah is sufficient for us and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs.'" Educate them on strength of character and steadfastness, and that they increase the strength of the criminals. Educate them on Surah Al-Buruj, which ended with the burning of the believers, and yet Allah said about them in the same surah: "Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment." They were burned, yes, "that is the great attainment," they died pleasing to Allah the Almighty and steadfast in their principles.

Educating on Contentment with the Decree of Allah and Loving Him

Educate your son and daughter to be happy with all of this, because it is enough for them that Allah is with them. Tell your child: "O my son, the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: 'And Allah gives the world to whom He wills, whether he loves or not, but He does not give faith except to whom He loves.' So when you see yourself, O my son, as a believer who loves Allah and His Messenger, know that Allah loves you."

He said: "Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their wealth in exchange for Paradise." He has bought from you everything, but in exchange for something great: Paradise.

Guidance for Those Who Have Abandoned the Religion

You, the characters who appeared in the movie, you were raised in Muslim families and were religious as you claimed. And if your stories are true, if your stories are true, I want to ask you a question: Did you not read all these verses? Or did you not read them and did not want to be convinced by them and flee from the reality that this world is a place of trial, not a place of reward? And Allah will repeat, if you have deceived yourselves, then your problem. If you have deceived yourselves, then this is your problem, do not blame Allah and the decrees of Allah the Almighty.

Educate your child to be honest with himself and not to deceive himself like the characters in the movie. Remind him of the words of Allah the Almighty: "But man is a witness against himself, even if he brings excuses."

And finally, my brothers: "And whoever disbelieves - indeed, Allah is free of need of the worlds. And if you turn away, He will replace you with another people; then they will not be like you." "O mankind, you are the poor to Allah, and Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy." And peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.

Quranic upbringing on the fact that this worldly life is a place of trial is important for children to understand the reality of the conflict as they see the blood of Muslims flowing profusely in support of Allah's religion.
