Returning to the question: Why do we speak about topics related to spiritual refinement and the love of the Prophet ﷺ in these tumultuous political circumstances? I would like to answer with perhaps two or three points:
The first point is that we are worshippers of Allah, the Almighty. Allah created us for His worship. Therefore, one of the pitfalls that some callers to Islam fall into is that if they want to convince people to adhere to the command of Allah, the Almighty, they focus only on the worldly benefits; such as economic well-being, or social security that it brings them, or technological progress.
No, we must learn and teach people that we obey Allah, the Almighty, because we are commanded to obey Him; because this is the true test on this earth, by which we will be rewarded with an eternal Paradise or an eternal Fire. Therefore, it is not required of any caller to explain to people what the direct benefits will be that will reflect on their worldly reality if they are presented with a certain topic. It is sufficient that the topic brings them closer to Allah, the Almighty.
The second point: Despite what I have mentioned, we will not escape from the predicament we are in, and Allah, the Almighty, will not empower us unless we obey Him. Allah, the Most High, says: "O you who have believed, if you support Allah, He will support you and plant firmly your feet." (Quran 47:7)
And how will we support Allah, the Almighty, if we do not learn to love Him, the Exalted, and love His Prophet ﷺ? That love which leads to obedience and following His commandments and abstaining from what He has forbidden. If we do that, by Allah, Allah, the Almighty, will empower us, and if we do not, by Allah, we will remain in circles of failure, frustration, and the repetition of bitter experiences.
Therefore, yes, when we speak about the love of the Prophet ﷺ—a love that leads to obedience—this is the path to our salvation from the weakness, fragmentation, and the enemies' encroachment upon us.
