Peace be upon you. Some people say: "What do you compare the West with Epstein to? We in the Arab and Muslim countries have scandals and moral crimes. We are just like them."
Our question here is: When we fight secularism and detachment from religion, what do we call people to? Do we call them to emulate the model of Arab countries? Have you ever seen a respected preacher tell people: "We must take the current state of Arab and Muslim countries as a model to follow, and we should call on Westerners to emulate what we are now"?
All respected preachers call for following the command of Allah, and they all say that the corruption, moral, social, political, and economic crimes in Muslim countries are the deplorable results of not establishing the Sharia of Allah. Therefore, it is a mistake or negligence to compare secular systems that fight Islam with the current state of Arab and Muslim countries.
When you want to make a comparison, come let us compare between the Islam that we call to versus the modern Western secularism that is exported to the world as the model, and imposed on us in Muslim countries with laws according to their standards, and changes the curricula of our children based on them.
First, is "Epstein" and his network an anomaly? Never. We have previously warned about the danger of being drawn into the media focus on "Epstein" as if the problem is confined to him and his clients and drivers, and we have warned that the international system and its international institutions are a general "Epstein-like" condition, and that Western secularism is a very fertile ground for Epstein-like behavior.
Come on the other hand, let us see if Islam protects societies from Epstein-like behavior? I will give you some of the commands of Allah in Islam, and every time I mention a command to you, compare it with Western secularism:
Islam established an ethical system that commands lowering the gaze, guarding the private parts, covering the awrah, and wearing the hijab; so that people do not live in a state of unrestrained lust like that which the West lives in and exports to us in Muslim countries.
Islam encouraged chaste and pure marriage, made it easy and facilitated its causes, and established a judicial system and deterrent punishments; it criminalized adultery and intensified its punishment to deter people from slipping into the Western secularism that leads to the swamp of Epstein-like behavior. And do not forget that according to the methodology of Western secularism and its institutions such as the United Nations, many of the crimes of the Epstein-like individuals would not have been considered crimes if they were done by mutual consent and at an age older than 18 years, even by one day!
Islam established community protection for women and children to protect them from wolves; so that children are not born except within the framework of pure marriage, there are no children of unknown parentage "Fulton" who are hunted by the nets of Epstein-like behavior. "Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock"; the woman protects her children, and men are the maintainers of women; the man protects his wife, daughters, and sisters and provides for them, so that the female is not exposed to blackmail and deception.
This is in contrast to Western secularism that starts with slogans of "the strong independent woman" (Strong Independent Woman) to end up with "the exploited humiliated woman" (Exploited Humiliated Woman). And if the woman loses all her providers and all her men, then the Islam that we call to makes it the duty of the Muslim state to protect her.
Islam protected children and their innocence from pollution, while in the methodology of Western secularism and the United Nations, quotas for teaching lewdness in its forms are imposed under the name of "sexual education", and laws are enacted to prevent parents from determining what their children may be exposed to in terms of materials that destroy their innate nature under the slogan "children's freedom to access information".
Islam established an economic system; it imposed zakat and prevented a specific group from monopolizing money so that it would not be "a state of the rich among you", unlike modern Western secularism with its capitalism that makes a handful of criminals monopolize money, media, politics, and education, and consequently enslave people, and exploit women and girls with money and paying university tuition - as we saw in the Epstein scandals - which facilitates their fall into the swamp.
And Islam established a political system that does not stop at establishing this purity, right, and justice within narrow national borders, but imposes it on the earth so that there is no fitnah and religion is for Allah. Even those who do not want to enter Islam are subject to the right and justice that the Muslim state establishes and do not transgress against the servants of Allah: {And if Allah had not repelled some people by others, the earth would have been corrupted, but Allah is full of bounty to the worlds.} (Quran 2:251)
He who says "we are like them", may he never be. And when he compares, let him compare with the Islam that we call to, not with the state of our societies which all the evil and corruption in it is the result of abandoning the rulings of Islam.
Of course, we do not admit at all that our situation is like the situation in Western secularism, but the remnants of religion in people have protected them from falling into this swamp that the Epstein-like individuals are trying to pull us into. Compare methodology with methodology to see that the corruption of some individuals in Muslim societies is due to their deviation from the Islamic methodology, while the corruption of individuals in Western societies is due to this corrupt methodology of Western secularism that they try to impose on us with their tails and hypocrites.
And it is possible that a person may come to you and say: "But even in the society of the Companions, cases of adultery occurred!" as if he has delivered the knockout blow. And although the comparison is very trivial, let us respond to it:
In the Companions, there were very few cases that occurred in the forbidden in a moment of passion, then they quickly repented and came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) confessing and asking for the punishment to be carried out on them, and the Messenger of Allah would offer to pardon them while they insist; hoping for the forgiveness of Allah for their sins. Until the Prophet (peace be upon him) said about Ma'iz, may Allah be pleased with him: "He has repented a repentance that if it were divided among the people of the city, it would be sufficient for them."
And Al-Ghamidiya, may Allah be pleased with her - in whose case the matter occurred with Ma'iz - came and asked for the punishment to be carried out on her, and the Messenger of Allah delayed it while she returned time after time until the punishment was carried out on her, then he prayed over her. So Umar said to him: "Do you pray over her, O Prophet of Allah, and she has committed adultery?" He said: "She has repented a repentance that if it were divided among seventy of the people of the city, it would be sufficient for them. And is there a better repentance than that she has given herself to Allah the Almighty?"
So is the dust of the shoes of these pure and righteous Companions compared to the filthy dogs that commit lewdness morning and evening, by rape and coercion, without a trace of shame and in an organized gang-like manner? {Shall We then treat the Muslims like the criminals? What is the matter with you? How do you judge?} (Quran 68:35-36)
Peace be upon you.
