Dr. Iyad Qunaybi speaks on behalf of the "Youth Campaign and Cooperation". May he be rewarded.
Suffice it for us is Allah, and how excellent a disposer of affairs. Suffice it for us is Allah, and how excellent a disposer of affairs. Suffice it for us is Allah, and how excellent a disposer of affairs. Suffice it for us is Allah, and how excellent a disposer of affairs. Peace be upon you and mercy of Allah.
Allah the Almighty says: {You are the best nation ever raised up for mankind} Why are we the best nation, O Lord? {You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong}. The excellence of Muhammad's nation is linked to this characteristic: enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong.
And Allah the Almighty says in contrast, in contrast to Muhammad's nation, He said: {Cursed be the Jews who were rejected by the tongue of David and Jesus, the son of Mary, because they disobeyed and transgressed. They did not forbid each other from evil, but they did it}. If one of them commits a sin, the other does not forbid him, and consequently, both parties deserve the curse: the one who commits the sin and the one who is satisfied with this sin and keeps silent about it.
The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "If a sin is committed on earth, then he who is absent from it but is satisfied with it is like he who witnessed it." You are in your place here in Amman. If you do not participate in any activity in "Jerash", but nevertheless, you are satisfied with it and accept these flimsy excuses - the economic and cultural excuses - you are a participant in this evil, and "he who witnessed it and denied it is like he who was absent from it."
We stand here to disassociate ourselves to Allah the Almighty from this festival and from those who organize it. We console our brothers and sisters in Syria. We console our brothers and sisters in "Daraa", which is only 41 kilometers away from Jerash, perhaps less than the distance between Jerash and Amman.
The borders of "Sykes-Picot" were not brought down by the Quran, nor by any authentic or weak hadith. No one from the Companions, the Four Imams, or those who followed them with goodness until the Day of Judgment, said anything about them. Therefore, we do not recognize anything but that we are one nation. Allah the Almighty says: {Indeed, this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so worship Me.}
We stand here to deny evil, and the greatest evil is the failure to apply the law of Allah the Almighty. This leads to corruption in morals, behavior, souls, wealth, and every aspect of life. However, we say: everything has a limit. It is unreasonable that in such circumstances, and only 41 kilometers away from slaughter, killing, and violation of honor, these festivals are held at the expense of you, me, and the poor Jordanian who cannot even feed his children.
We disassociate ourselves to Allah the Almighty from this festival. We send a message to our brothers and sisters in Syria: We ask you not to invoke curses upon us. We ask you not to invoke curses upon the Jordanians. By Allah, I fear the invocation of a woman whose daughter was raped, whose children were killed, whose husband was killed, and who was driven from her home, if she says: "O Allah, bring upon the people of Jordan what You have brought upon us." By Allah, we fear this invocation, for there is no barrier between the invocation of the oppressed and Allah.
O my brothers, disassociate yourselves to Allah the Almighty from this great evil. We address those who intend to participate in this festival: We appeal to their love for Allah and His Messenger. If this love is not present, we appeal to their humanity, nobility, and dignity.
It is known that there are people in the world who are not Muslims who stand in solidarity with the people of Syria; there are children in Sweden, Germany, Britain, and America, men and women who stand in protest for our people in Syria. Shame on us, and what a disgrace, and what a sin it is if non-Muslims have more nobility, honor, and chivalry than we, the followers of Muhammad, peace be upon him.
May we ask Allah the Great, the Lord of the Honorable Throne, to make this festival fail, and to make it empty on its thrones. And may Allah guide everyone to what He loves and is pleased with. And may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon Muhammad and his companions.
