Dr. Iyad Qunaybi
To the beloved of hearts and the delight of eyes, to the one with the great character and the flowing, warm, and lively emotions... whose friends and family did not find a place for him except on the thrones of their hearts... but that did not change his simple nature at all... for the greatness of prophethood did not erase his simplicity, humility, and spontaneity from his person... and the perfection of manhood did not erase his pure innocence... rather, all these characteristics coexisted in harmony and nourished each other... so he was this great man... yet simple... high in his status... yet close to those around him...
To the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad bin Abdullah, peace be upon him and his family...
Then to his faithful wife and the dearest of people to him, to our mother, the Mother of the Believers, the daughter of the Companion, Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her...
I dedicate this booklet humbly from the lofty stations, hoping from my Lord, the Merciful, that He does not deprive me of the honor of making His Prophet beloved to the hearts and spreading his fragrant biography, and that He makes this booklet a reason for my meeting with my father Abdul-Hafiz and my daughter Sarah, may Allah have mercy on her, and that He gathers us and you and our loved ones in Paradise without any account or punishment.

Nadeen... She completed her studies at the American School, then graduated from a local university's medical college... and specialized in psychiatry.
Shadi proposed to her, who is two years older than her, after he completed his specialization in psychiatry in a hospital in Australia.
Nadeen, at the age of twenty-six, accepted him. They got married. They lived a somewhat happy few months.
Then the problems started and escalated. Their spring did not last long, and their life entered a long autumn.
One day, she came home early from work... Shadi was not back yet... so Nadeen entered the office room, took out a piece of paper and a pen, and started writing:
He refused to divorce her, but he hinted that he would not forgive me for any of the things he bought for me and did not write in my name.
I had confided in some of my friends, hoping to find a solution with them, but I discovered that, although the details differed, they were all suffering too, even if our cases varied in the degree of tension.
But I had heard long ago about a girl named "Aisha"... and I heard that she had a marriage story with the Messenger of Allah Muhammad (peace be upon him)... different from everything I had experienced in my environment...
I remembered Aisha now... so I went through the pages of her biography... and came to her for advice... but I heard about the level of morality that she and her husband enjoyed, so I did not reveal to her some of the details that I am ashamed to mention.
I asked her questions equal to the number of my problems with Shadi so that I could compare...
Here begins the hypothetical dialogue between Nadeen and Aisha, a dialogue in which we simplified some of what our mother Aisha said in the hadiths and added what helps in drawing the picture, taking into account that the words of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his actions remain as they are without any alteration.. knowing that the sources of her hadiths are the authentic hadiths that we will mention to you in the comments, and we did not resort to any weak hadith. Therefore, it is not appropriate to object afterward that we attribute to the biography what is not from it.
Nada started by asking Aisha:
Nada thought to herself: Shadi has become cold and no longer expresses his love to me. In fact, I have started to doubt that he loves me. So she asked:
Nada thought to herself: Once, I fell ill, and Shadi did not show me any special kindness or care. So she asked: 2. Did he make you feel cared for when you were ill? He would be especially kind to me, placing his hand on the area of pain and praying for me.
Nada thought to herself: When I am on my period, I feel somewhat tense, yet Shadi does not consider this, even though as a psychologist, he understands my condition! So she asked: 3. Well, did the Messenger of Allah consider your needs during your period? He was the kindest to me during these times: I would drink while menstruating, then pass the vessel to the Prophet, and he would intentionally place his mouth where I had drunk from. I would eat meat, then pass it to the Prophet, and he would intentionally place his mouth where mine had been to comfort my heart and dispel my sadness. Once, my period came while I was on Hajj, and I wept fearing that my Hajj would be invalid. The Prophet said to me, "(This is a matter that Allah has decreed for the daughters of Adam)" and then told me what I should do.
Nada thought to herself: Shadi trivializes my feminine concerns and makes me feel disrespected. So she asked: 4. Well, did the Messenger of Allah consider your concerns? Aisha smiled and said: Once, there were Abyssinians playing with spears in the mosque. He asked me, "(Do you want to watch them?)" I said, "(Yes)," so he went towards the door, and I followed behind him, placing my chin on his shoulder and pressing my cheek to his, while he covered me with his cloak... After a while, he asked, "(Is that enough for you?)" meaning, "Is it sufficient?" I said, "O Messenger of Allah, do not rush." So he stood there for my sake, and after a while, he asked, "(Is that enough?)" I said, "Do not rush, O Messenger of Allah." And he remained standing until I was ready to leave. That is why I say that the most knowledgeable of people in attending to the needs of young girls is: "(So respect the young girl in her prime, eager for play)... Let them take from this great character." The Messenger of Allah married me when I was young. I would play with dolls in his house, and some girls of my age would play with me. They would hide from the Prophet if they saw him, but the Prophet would bring them to me to make them feel at ease. Once, he saw my dolls and said, "(What is this, O Aisha?)" I said, "My girls..." And he saw among them a horse with wings. He said, "(What is this that I see among them?)" I said, "A horse." He said, "(And what is on it?)" I said, "(Wings)." He said, "(A horse with wings?!) I said, "(Have you not heard that Solomon had horses with wings?)" and he laughed until his teeth were visible.
Nada thought to herself: Shadi does not care about my concerns. A bracelet worth 2,000 dinars, a gift from my mother, broke. I asked him to fix it, and it has been on his desk for months. Every time I remind him, he says, "Today or tomorrow!" So she asked: 5. Did the Prophet care about your concerns? Aisha smiled and said: Once, we were traveling together, and my necklace broke. The Prophet stopped in that place until we found it, and his companions stopped with him, without any water, not even for ablution. My father (Abu Bakr) was angry because I had caused everyone to be delayed... He squeezed my waist painfully... And the Messenger of Allah was asleep on my lap. Nothing prevented me from moving except my fear of waking him and disturbing his peace. ... By the way, my necklace broke again! And my search for it and my delay in catching up with the army were the cause of the incident of slander and the hypocrites' false accusations against me. And the Messenger of Allah did not reproach me for my necklace falling again.
Nada thought to herself: Shadi is selfish and prefers himself over me. Sometimes, we both return late from work, and there is no food in the house. One of his friends invites him out, and he leaves without asking about me. So she asked: 6. Did the Messenger of Allah sometimes prefer himself over you in food or drink? Aisha showed signs of astonishment and disapproval! Never! We had a Persian neighbor whose food was delicious. He prepared food for the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and then came to invite him. The Messenger of Allah said, "(And what about her?)" - meaning me - meaning, "Is she invited too?" He said, "No." The Messenger of Allah said, "(No)..." meaning, "I cannot accept the invitation unless Aisha is invited with me." So he came back to invite him. The Messenger of Allah said, "(And what about her?)" He said, "No." The Messenger of Allah said, "(No)." Then he came back to invite him. The Messenger of Allah said, "(And what about her?)" He said, "Yes." So I went with the Messenger of Allah to our neighbor's house.
The situation shocked Nada, and it meant a lot to her...
Well, why was your food little? Money, gifts, and food would come to the Prophet, peace be upon him, and he would give them to the poor and the people of the Suffah... And he would be patient, and I would be patient with him... How could I not be patient when I see him refusing to eat without me?
I'm sorry for the question: A beautiful, intelligent girl like you... Did you ever have the opportunity to live a more comfortable life, even away from the Messenger of Allah? I mean... Did you ever think of leaving him? Leaving him? Aisha laughed and then said: I will tell you something: I and the wives of the Prophet would ask him for the comforts of this world, and we would insist on our requests. And we would be jealous of him, each of us wanting to monopolize him as much as possible... And it happened that we would even fight each other for that reason... So the Prophet became angry with us and stopped speaking to us for a month. Then Allah revealed a verse giving us the choice between staying with the Prophet in hardship or divorce with kindness and giving us some of the comforts of this world. The Prophet started with me. He said, "(O Aisha! I want to present to you a matter that I hope you will not rush in and that you will consult your parents)." I said, "And what is it, O Messenger of Allah?" He recited to me the words of Allah the Almighty: "(O Prophet, say to your wives: If you desire the life of this world and its adornment, come, I will provide for you and release you with a gracious release. But if you desire Allah and His Messenger and the home of the Hereafter, then indeed, for the doers of good among you is a great reward)." And the Prophet finished, waiting for me to answer until I consulted my parents... So I said to him, "(Shall I consult my parents about you, O Messenger of Allah?! Rather, I choose Allah and His Messenger and the home of the Hereafter)." The Messenger of Allah was pleased with that.
"(Shall I consult my parents about you, O Messenger of Allah?!)" What a beautiful statement... It resonated within Nada as she saw this love that has no turning back from a girl who sees herself with her husband as one soul dwelling in two bodies, unable to be separated. Nada remembered how she had asked for a separation from Shadi, but he hinted that he would not forgive her for any of the things he had bought for her and had not written in her name. So she would remain with him tied to these "things," not out of care for him! While Aisha was given the opportunity to leave the Prophet and enjoy the world and its adornments, but she chose him without hesitation.
Nada thought to herself: The time Shadi spends with me is not quality time, but he is distracted. So she asked:
He would recite the Quran in my lap while I was menstruating. He would recite it, he would recite it anyway... Instead of reciting it away from me, he would recite it in my lap.
Nada imagined this pure, refined image... She imagined the Messenger of Allah reciting with a sweet voice... his head in Aisha's lap... her hand stroking his hair, listening to him... at the peak of love and harmony.
Aisha said: We would spend joyful times even while bathing... We would bathe from one vessel, racing for the water, joking. I would say to him, "Leave some for me, leave some for me," and he would say, "Leave some for me, leave some for me," with affection, comfort, lightness of spirit, and tenderness.
Aisha smiled and then said: I traveled with him once and I was small and light in weight... So he said to his companions, "Move forward," and they moved forward... Then he said, "Come, let me race you," so I raced him and I beat him.
Then I grew up and my weight increased, and I forgot our first race, and I went out with him on a journey, and he said to his companions, "Move forward," and they moved forward, then he said, "Come, let me race you." So I said, "How can I race you, O Messenger of Allah, in this condition?" He said, "You will do it." So I raced him and he beat me, and he started laughing and said, "This is for that race."
Nada thought to herself: Shadi brings his work problems into the house. So she asked:
Nada thought to herself: On the other hand, Shadi does not share his joys with me. So she asked:
Nada thought to herself: If I prolong the conversation with Shadi on a topic, he interrupts me and asks me to shorten it, and he gets annoyed by the number of my questions. So she asked:
I did not hear from him anything I did not know except that I would refer to him about it until I knew it. For example, he once said, "Whoever is held accountable will be punished." So I said to him, "Does not Allah say, 'He will surely be accounted for an easy account'?" He said, "That is the presentation, but whoever is questioned about the account will perish."
And he was pleased with my love of learning. I asked him dozens or hundreds of questions present in the narrations, and he would answer with interest, showing no annoyance at the number of my questions nor diminishing the importance of any question.
Nada thought to herself: Shadi has started to get bored of me and his temper flares up at me quickly! And it is very painful that this is in contrast to his interest in his female colleagues at work! And his "cheerful spirit" with them! So she asked:
Nada wanted to ask about the Prophet's dealing with Aisha's jealousy of his other wives. She was shy to mention Shadi's situation with his "colleagues," which does not compare to the lawful relationship between the Prophet and his wives, so she said:
Nada opened her mouth wide and gasped:
What did the Messenger of Allah do?! Aisha said: He joined the two halves of the dish with the food on them and said to his companions, "Eat, your mother is jealous, eat, your mother is jealous," meaning me. Then the Messenger of Allah took a dish from me and sent it to Umm Salama.
Did the matter end at this point?! Yes.
Did he hit you?! Aisha laughed: Hit me?! He never hit a woman or a servant or anything with his hand, except when he fought in the cause of Allah.
Nada thought to herself: I feel that my personality has been erased with Shadi... I feel weak and undervalued in front of others when I am with him. So she asked:
Nada thought to herself: Shadi responds to my jealousy by showing bad assumptions that I intentionally talk to colleagues and that I am emotionally inclined towards one of them. So she asked:
Nada said to herself: When the maid is on vacation, Shadi doesn't help at home, even though he writes posts about women's rights and their "oppression"! So she asked:
Nada was surprised and imagined the scene of the Prophet helping his wife with household matters humbly and lovingly.. Nada said to herself: Shadi has started smoking recently, and I am bothered by the smell of his smoke. Simple things have started to provoke me.. Why doesn't he groom himself for me as he does for others? So she asked: 16. Did the Prophet groom himself for you and take care of his smell as he does with others? He would enter his house and start with the siwak to smell his pleasant breath from his mouth. Nada was surprised by this scene: A man enters his house, preparing himself as men today prepare for a job interview or to meet an important person!
Nada said to herself: I have started to prefer Shadi's absence from me! So she asked: 17. It's clear that you were very attached to the Prophet. Have you reached the point where you can't bear his absence from you? One night, he said: (Aisha, leave me to worship my Lord tonight).. So I said to him: (By God, I love your closeness, and I love what pleases you). So he got up, purified himself, and then started to pray.
Nada said to herself: Shadi shows people an image of kindness and tenderness, but this kindness disappears with me, and he justifies it to me by saying he is "stressed" and life's problems are many. So she asked: 18. So, did the Prophet treat you the way he treats others? On the contrary, better.. For he is the one, peace be upon him, who said: (The best of you is the best to his family, and I am the best to my family) (Sahih Ibn Hibban). And he made the measure of kindness the treatment of spouses.
Nada said to herself: There are aspects of Shadi's private life that I am ashamed to talk about, because they are very harmful to him. So she asked: 19. Forgive me for the question: Was there an aspect of the Prophet's life that you didn't want anyone to know about? On the contrary, his life was all an open page... And here I am presenting it to people with all its details.. Even what is necessary to teach people about marital relations, I talk about it.
What did he hide from his life, and his character was the Quran? Everything in the Quran of morals and manners I saw in Muhammad, peace be upon him.
His appearance was like his inner self. He was eloquent with me as he was with people. Even I never saw him laugh excessively, but he would smile.
Nada said to herself: With the shaking of Shadi's image in my mind, I have started to fear our instinctive relationship as husband and wife, and I feel that I am doing something wrong! So she asked:
No, of course not! The instinctive relationship between spouses is closeness to Allah in Islam, and the husband and wife are rewarded for it. This is something that the Messenger of Allah taught me.
Aisha continued: And at the same time, do you know how Allah described me and the believers like me in Surah An-Nur when the hypocrites slandered me? Allah described us as (forgetful), do you know what forgetful means? It does not occur to us to think of evil and forbidden relationships because of our purity and the purity of our nature.
But I would enter the house where the Messenger of Allah and my father Abu Bakr were buried, I would put on my clothes and say: He is my husband and my father. When Umar was buried with them, by God, I did not enter it except while holding my clothes in shame from Umar.
Nada realized that she was in front of a balanced personality who was raised in a strange way, and she realized that the concept of (sex) in Islam is completely different from its concept under contemporary materialism.
Aisha continued: The Messenger of Allah, who spoke about the relationship between spouses with etiquette to teach people and did not hesitate from what is permissible, is the same one who was shy of women to enter into details. A woman once asked him about her purification from menstruation, so he informed her how to purify herself, then said: (Take a piece of wool (meaning a piece of wool or cotton), and purify yourself with it). She said: How do I purify myself? He said: Purify yourself with it. She said: How? He said: (Glory be to Allah! Purify yourself).. So the woman clung to me, and I said to her: Follow the trace of blood with it.
Nada said to herself: Shadi is too proud to show his weakness in front of me.. But instead, he "spreads" when he is exposed to what shows him as weak. So she asked:
On the contrary, when he was ill with the illness of his death, peace be upon him, he asked the women's permission to be ill in my house.
Here, Aisha's voice broke... She gathered her breath with difficulty, then continued:
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, died in my house, on my chest between my breasts. My brother Abdullah ibn Abu Bakr had entered on us before that, and with him was a siwak, so the Messenger of Allah looked at it, and I felt that he wanted to use it, so I took the siwak, chewed it, and prepared it for him, then gave it to the Prophet, and he used it as I had never seen anyone use it before, then he tried to raise the siwak to his mouth, but his hand fell, so I started to pray for him with a prayer that Gabriel used to pray for him, and he used to pray with it when he was ill, but he did not pray with it in that illness, so he raised his gaze to the sky and said: (The highest companion). And his soul departed. So praise be to Allah who joined my breath and his breath on the last day of the world.
Did you advise that I be buried next to him?
I wished for that. But I preferred Umar. When Umar was stabbed, they came to me while I was crying and said: (Let Umar ibn Al-Khattab be buried with his two companions), meaning my husband the Messenger of Allah and my father, so I said: (By Allah, I wanted it for myself and I would not give it up to myself today).
Nada said to herself: I no longer care about Shadi's interests. I have started to deliberately oppose him in everything and do not want to resemble him in anything. So she asked:
He is alive in my being. And I keep his memory alive in me by talking about him.. about his words, his movements, his stillness, his facial features.. I have absorbed his knowledge and wisdom, and I feel his pure breath between my ribs when I convey his knowledge and details of his life. And thanks to marriage with him, I have become a mother to all believers even if I did not give birth from my womb. So billions of Muslims until the Day of Judgment will love me and be pleased with me and walk with the light that I have inherited for them.. So my greatest concern now is to meet my beloved again in Paradise.
Do as he did. He was the most generous of people, and I walk in his footsteps and in the footsteps of my father. After I used to ask the Prophet for more provision, I now spend and hardly leave anything for myself. The Messenger of Allah said: (The most beloved of deeds to Allah Almighty is that which is continuous even if it is little), so now if I do a deed, I insist on it and persist in it.
My soul with Shadi is tired! Even though I am a psychologist! Nada was ashamed to ask Aisha about her psychology to compare it with her condition, as it would seem like a funny question while she sees this distinguished personality about whom her brother Urwa ibn Al-Zubayr said:
(I have accompanied Aisha, and I have never seen anyone who was more knowledgeable about a verse revealed, or a duty, or a tradition, or poetry, or more knowledgeable about a day of the days of the Arabs, or about lineage, or about such and such, or about such and such, or about judgment, or medicine from her. So I said to her: O aunt, from where did you learn medicine? She said: I was sick, so something was described to me (meaning for treatment), and the sick person was described to him, and I heard people describing to each other, so I memorized it)
The interview ended... It was one o'clock in the morning when Nada realized that she had spent consecutive hours turning the pages of the biography without feeling it! She closed the book, stunned and amazed!!
What is this Prophet who made a small room full of thousands of situations and beautiful memories in this way?!
What is this Prophet who made a girl this strong, beloved, balanced, confident, harmonious personality?!
Nada closed the book, and stood up from the office room, passing through the halls of her spacious home. She felt cold, even though she was wrapped in her luxurious coat. The heating had been off in the house for a while because Shadi hadn't brought solar fuel, hoping that Nada would pay from her money. She, in turn, was ignoring his request because she felt that this was greed on his part.
She passed by the kitchen, glanced at the table, traces of a meal that Shadi had eaten and didn't prepare a meal for her...
She reached her bedroom. The bracelet was still on the dresser, waiting for Shadi to fix it...
He was asleep, snoring, with his mobile phone in his hand.
Nada stretched out on the bed and wished that the interview had not ended, and that she had lived as Aisha had lived!
This is the story of Nada, a story that represents many women today. I presented it to a group of brothers and sisters, and one of them said: I have been working for a long time in family counseling and I can tell you that the twenty-three problems you mentioned summarize what I see of the problems of husbands today.
The strange thing is that the contemporary material ignorance, which has deprived the woman of her comfort and happiness and wasted her dignity... makes the marriage of the Prophet to Aisha a "suspicion" because of her young age at marriage! And one wonders at the extent to which filth has risen over purity, and the failure has been blamed for success!
The strange thing is that we Muslims accept the labeling of the most successful and beautiful marriage as a "suspicion"... we put it in the category of suspicions and then defend it! And it was supposed to be that we ask from the beginning: where exactly is the problem so that we can respond to it? And by what right do you assume that we submit to your standards?
The strange thing is that we allow the enemy who defeats us militarily with every dirty method... to allow him to defeat us psychologically and occupy our minds and souls. So we judge our religion, history, and the biography of our Prophet with the standards of our enemies!
When you accept the classification of something from your religion as a suspicion, you have lost half the battle, and when you try to defend it with the standards of your enemy, you have lost the other half!
Aisha... the Prophet married her when she was young, and worked on refining what she had of qualities, so he shaped from her the most beautiful feminine psychology... the most balanced, tranquil, strong, and confident psychology... the most faithful, content, and guided psychology... he charged her with knowledge and balanced her soul, despite her young age. Then God extended her life after that, so she remained a beacon that spreads knowledge to the worlds until the Day of Judgment.
Our goal in this story was not to discuss the marriage of young girls in our days and conditions. Nor to address the issue of the Prophet's marriage to Aisha when she was young and present everything that was said in response to those who object to this marriage... but we wanted to shed light on the aspect of psychological shaping that Aisha was shaped with in the house of the Prophet, and the treatment she received... to see the reality of modern ignorance and its trumpets who assassinated the woman and her psychology, then went on to insult the purest and most beautiful model in the story of Muhammad and Aisha.
The Prophet's marriage to Aisha is a source of pride and honor. We boast to the lost nations with it. We teach humanity from ignorance and guide it from misguidance, and we erase with it the traces of contemporary ignorance in families and societies.
May Allah make our lives in our families like the life of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, with Aisha...
Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.

But Allah and His Messenger have chosen, and the Hereafter, and I ask you not to inform any of your wives of what I have said to you." He said, "No woman will ask me about it except that I will inform her. Allah did not send me as a tyrant, nor as a harsh man, but He sent me as a teacher, bringing good tidings...")
