The worst way to support Al-Aqsa and the people of Gaza is to turn their support into a cause of division and animosity!
"Why, so-and-so, didn't you post about Al-Aqsa?"...inquisition courts roaming through reformers' pages to interrogate them then draw the swords of tongues against them!
I know a reforming brother who prays daily for those stationed in Jerusalem, has prayed for oppressed Muslims in the world for decades, provides available financial support to our people in Palestine, works on raising dignified, sound souls to liberate Al-Aqsa and raise the Ummah, and I consider him more tender-hearted than me and more grieved for his brothers in Al-Aqsa and Gaza...and during Ramadan continues Quranic lessons on his Telegram channel linking verses to events and reminding his students to pray for their brothers and support them with what they can...despite a severe health problem he recently experienced, and he's not compromising with anyone but bold in the truth.
Then quite simply groups of people comment on his account: "Why don't you speak about Al-Aqsa?", "This issue doesn't concern you, huh?!" with bared fangs showing from the letters and ready execution verdicts!
I reckon some of these people need to review themselves to see if they're exploiting events as a season for increasing followers with their eyes on likes, shares, and comments! Then they outbid those who dedicated their time, effort, and prayers to support their brothers for Allah's sake as far as I can tell.
Well, why doesn't he write something to silence them?
If I were in his place, I would be reluctant to go along with these people...because whoever wants to write something should write it for Allah's sake, not to silence people or please people or rid themselves of people's accusations! I say this while I personally have posted much on the topic, so no one can say I'm saying it to defend myself. Nevertheless, by Allah, I don't claim my work in supporting Al-Aqsa and Gaza is closer to acceptance and more hoped for with Allah than my brothers whom people stab and insult while they pray for Al-Aqsa people in prostration and seclusion and work to support them without noise!
Someone might say: So why do you criticize this or that person's words among those you respond to? Because I'm responding to a wrong, not because I want people to show their righteous deeds "against their will."
Leave people alone...don't turn it into an outbidding festival and inquisition courts! Let each one choose a lawful way to support their brothers. Don't push people toward showing off! And don't make "supporting Al-Aqsa" a cause for division, mutual hatred, and bringing people down!
And Allah is the One whose help is sought.
