Muslims in Gaza woke up to bombing mixed with Eid takbeers from mosque minarets...Muslims' enemies delight in ruining the joy of our religious rituals.

Nevertheless, we say to all Muslims: Show joy in Eid:

1. Because Allah who commanded us to care about Muslims' affliction is the One who legislated for us to rejoice in our worship: (and [He desires] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful).

2. Show Eid joy to spite those who want to ruin it for us. Angering enemies is an act of worship: (nor do they tread on any ground that enrages the disbelievers nor inflict upon an enemy any infliction but that is registered for them as a righteous deed). They want to see us in hardship and sadness: (They wish you would have hardship. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, and what their breasts conceal is greater)...so don't fulfill their wish.

3. So we can spread joy in the rituals in our children's souls so they love and venerate this religion.

Ibn Taymiyyah said: "Eids are among the most distinctive characteristics of religious laws."

Ibn Hajar said: "Showing happiness on Eids is among the signs of religion."

And remember with that Allah's saying: (That [is so]. And whoever honors the symbols of Allah - indeed, it is from the piety of hearts).

The important thing: that the Eid celebration not contain anything forbidden, but rather we remember that we worship Allah by showing our joy, so how can we worship Him through sin?!

Yes, we feel pain for our brothers and care about them and support them with what we can, and at the same time rejoice in Eid in lawful ways and anger our enemies by that.

O Allah, be with our brothers in Jerusalem and Gaza and everywhere. O Allah, help us support them, take revenge on our enemies and theirs, ordain for this Ummah a matter of righteousness, honor, and empowerment, and give us a hand in it, O Lord of the worlds.

And may you all, Al-Aqsa, and all Muslims have a blessed year, and may criminals and hypocrites be in humiliation, disgrace, and failed plotting. May Allah accept from us and from you.
