You can remain silent and not comment on many events. Don't respond to the desire to comment and speak on every piece of news. Search within yourself honestly and you will see that your motives often are not pleasing Allah and supporting truth no matter the cost, but rather seeking people's praise and fear of exposure to harm often shape your positions.. We memorized from our childhood the Prophet's saying (peace be upon him): (Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him say good or remain silent) If you cannot bear the consequences of saying good and truth, then be silent! The religion you practice teaches you to control your tongue with strict control. Allah the Almighty said: (And when you speak, then be just) He did not say (speak justice in every situation)..for Allah knows you are weak and may not bear the consequences of that. But if you are going to speak and must, then be just, or be silent! Speech has far more terrible impact than you think. Our Prophet (peace be upon him) said: (And do people fall on their faces in Hell except for the harvests of their tongues?!). (Do whatever you will, indeed He is Seeing of what you do).
