I have not seen in our time anyone more corrupting to religion than bearded men who attract people with the beauty of the Quran, remembrance and the biography. Then use it to make them submit to the worst of creation. O Allah, I disavow myself of them. Note that I am general about beards, for it is a command from the Beloved, peace be upon him. And I believe in the obligation of growing the beard. So I do not generalize in any way. Rather, I warn that the outward signs of religion mean nothing until their bearer follows the guidance of Prophethood in speaking the truth, acting upon it, defending it, and separating from falsehood and its people.
