Sometimes you share a word of goodness or a short clip, yet you do not see the impact you hoped for. You might say, "There was little engagement. The topic was important. People did not pay attention. Why, then?" In reality, you never know when or how God causes the seeds you sow to sprout.
In the story of our companion, it was mentioned that he had some habits he could not give up, such as smoking. While he was in this state, a short clip by the Poor Servant appeared to him—a clip in which I spoke about facing trials in America and how the suffering of Muslims prevented me from indulging in worldly pleasures.
The companion says, "Our Lord placed a tremendous, tremendous, tremendous impact of this clip in my heart." Then, he bitterly questioned himself, "All this suffering of the Muslims, and I cannot even help them by abandoning my sins so that God may accept me and look upon me and them with mercy!"
Here is the lesson, my friends: do not underestimate the impact of a kind word. God the Exalted said:
Have you not considered how God presents an example: a good word is like a good tree whose root is firmly fixed and whose branches reach into the sky, yielding its fruit at all times by the will of its Lord? And God presents examples for people so that they may reflect.
You may share a short clip and then forget it, but God places it in the heart of a person at a moment of brokenness, and it becomes the cause of a new life. Therefore, do not measure the impact of good by the number of views or interactions. Plant the good word and leave the sprouting to God the Almighty.
