Maintain your purity and cleanliness, and avoid sins, so that you may hold your heads high as Yusuf (peace be upon him) did.
If Yusuf (peace be upon him) had slipped and responded to the woman’s call, that mistake would have haunted him throughout his life, even if Allah forgave him and he repented afterward. Yet, he (peace be upon him) did not falter in that slip, so he remained noble and pure.
Young people should not think that even if they slip or make a mistake, they can simply say, “It’s fine; I’ll repent one day.” Repentance does indeed erase the punishment of the Hereafter by Allah’s will, but worldly consequences may still follow you.
If anyone wishes to influence society and people, they must not tarnish their record, past, or reputation with a black mark that will linger in their journey.
Therefore, preserve your purity. And of course, if someone falls into sin or faces its consequences, we say to them: We ask Allah, the Exalted, to protect you from its effects and to accept your repentance.
