Apology Regarding the Writer Nawal El Saadawi

Peace be upon you. I published some words that some people understood as me declaring the doctor Nawal El Saadawi as a disbeliever, and some followers might get angry and stop following. So, I would like to say: I apologize.

The Apology and Explanation

I apologize to Allah and then to His Messenger that there are among those who claim to be Muslims who defend this mentioned wretch. I apologize because it is clear that I and my brothers working to raise awareness have not made enough effort yet, so there are still among those who claim to be Muslims who do not hope for the honor of Allah. But perhaps my consolation is: "Indeed, you do not guide whom you love."

I apologize to Allah and then to His Messenger because there are among the sons of Muslims who still, in foolishness and ignorance, object to describing this woman as a disbeliever, she who we heard with our own ears and saw with our own eyes boasting about writing a play titled "God Submits His Resignation." She says that all religions, including Islam, contain contradictions, racism, oppression of women, deception, and that the texts of the Quran must be changed, that there is no Paradise nor Hell in truth, that the hijab is against morality, that Hajj is a pagan custom, and other attacks on Allah, His Messenger, and His religion.

A Call to the Defenders of the Wretch

I apologize to Allah and then to His Messenger, and then I address my speech to the defenders of the wretch. And for reminder, I am not speaking here about those who say, "Perhaps she accepted Islam before she died." The one who says this has been addressed in a previous statement titled "It's Not Possible to Repent Before Death." But I am speaking here about those who know all this disbelief and then say, "Do not declare her a disbeliever, do not make yourselves judges over people as if the keys to Paradise and Hell are in your hands. We ask Allah to have mercy on her. We respect her insistence and her adherence to her convictions."

These are the people who make such statements, and they are of two types:

The First Type: The Exploitative and Resentful

There is a group that exploits the death of anyone like Nawal El Saadawi, coming out to praise and glorify her, even though they may not know anything about her except that she is an enemy of Allah and His Messenger. So, this type of people praises the deceased not out of love for them, but because they are resentful towards Allah and His Messenger, just like the deceased who died. They are not able to express their venom clearly and say, "I hate Allah" in front of people, so it is enough for them to praise those who declare their enmity towards Allah, like Nawal El Saadawi, and hide their deep-seated hatred for Allah under the pretense of sympathy for the deceased, and repeat phrases of mercy like theirs for those who have died like El Saadawi and others without considering the weight of every word they utter.

I say to these imitators: Who are you? What is your identity? What drives your jealousy? What is the red line for you? What is the value of Allah in your eyes? With what face will you meet Allah when you have defended those who mocked and fought Him? How have you valued Allah rightly? Do you read the Quran? Do you ponder it? "Will they not ponder the Quran, or are there locks on their hearts?"

Do you not know that perhaps the most repeated and dense meaning in the Quran is the difference between faith and disbelief, the difference between the believer and the disbeliever? Or have you not read: "Indeed, those who oppose Allah and His Messenger - those will be among the lowest. Allah has decreed, 'I and My messengers will prevail.' Allah is Powerful and Exalted. You will not find a people who believe in Allah and the Last Day loving those who oppose Allah and His Messenger." Or have you not read: "Indeed, those who harm Allah and His Messenger - Allah has cursed them in this world and the Hereafter and prepared for them a humiliating punishment." Or have you not read: "Here you are, those who argue on their behalf in this worldly life. Then who will argue with Allah on their behalf on the Day of Resurrection, or who will be their advocate?"

It was said: "The most misguided person is he who sells his Hereafter for his worldly life, and more misguided than him is he who sells his Hereafter for the worldly life of others." Now there is a new type who sells his religion for nothing, who sells his Hereafter for nothing, neither for himself nor for others, but only to show mercy to the dead who died fighting Allah and His Messenger, and thus waste his religion.

Whoever says the blasphemous statements that we mentioned about this doctor and dies upon them, if you defend him until the Day of Judgment, Allah will not forgive him, and you will only lose your religion by defending him and seeking forgiveness for him. Have you not read: "Indeed, Allah does not forgive associating others with Him." Do you oppose the Quran? Or have you not read: "Those are the ones who have disbelieved in the verses of their Lord and in meeting Him."

Our Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Allah has removed from you the arrogance of the days of ignorance and its boasting about ancestors, whether a righteous believer or a wicked sinner. You are the children of Adam, and Adam was created from dust. Let men abandon their boasting about people, for they are but fuel for Hell, or they are lighter to Allah than the mosquito that is driven away with a hand." What does this mean? It means that there were Muslims who boasted about their disbelieving parents and grandparents, knowing that they died upon disbelief without excuse, so their fate is Hell. So, the Prophet, peace be upon him, warned them that whoever insists on boasting about these parents will be light to Allah, lighter than the mosquito, meaning the insects. This is for those who boast about parents who worshipped Allah but did not deny Him but associated others with Him. So, what about those who mock and fight Allah? He who does that is lighter to Allah and to the believers than the insects. Those who defend her and glorify her and say, "We respect her steadfastness, we respect her yellow watermelon," are lighter to Allah than the insects.

O you who praise the wretch, why do you not hope for the honor of Allah? You do not need evidence and explanations honestly; you need to be shaken by harsh words to wake up. "Those are the ones whom Allah knows what is in their hearts, so turn away from them and admonish them and speak to them with penetrating words."

The Second Type: Those with Psychological Complexes

You say that you respect this old wretch because she has a principle and adheres to her principles and is steadfast in her convictions. Fine, then you also have a principle, adhere to your religion and be steadfast in your convictions and magnify them. Do you not have magnification for Allah and His Messenger? Do you want to be intellectual monsters, psychologically defeated, with no belonging, no constants, no firm belief, no zeal for the religion or anything else, no magnification for Allah and His Messenger, no loyalty in Allah, and no enmity in Allah? And "I worship not what you worship, nor do you worship what I worship. To you is your religion, and to me is my religion."

You are upset with those who declare disbelief without right, okay. But prepare your balance and do not spend your life walking with psychological complexes. If there is no disbelief nor faith, then why Paradise and Hell? Why the messengers and the books? There is no religion except that it has sanctities and warnings and threats to those who violate them. There is no belief except that it has boundaries for those who enter and exit it.

By Allah, if someone insults you, mocks you, fights you, slanders you, distances himself from you, and dedicates his life to fighting you, will you, when he dies, defend him for being steadfast in his principles, that he is a thinker and an intellectual? What does it mean when someone does the same thing to the Lord of Might and His religion, and your hearts are dead? Why is Allah and His religion so light to you in this way?

Rulings on Disbelief and Faith

Disbelief and faith are legal rulings from Allah, the Most High, who has set boundaries for them. And just as it is a crime to rule on removing a Muslim from the circle of faith and entering him into the circle of disbelief, it is a crime to rule on removing a disbeliever from the circle of disbelief, which Allah has set boundaries for, and go and enter him into the circle of faith with your whim.

The matter is not, people, a matter of intellectual luxury, but rather it is built upon rulings in this world and the Hereafter. If someone comes to propose to your sister or daughter and you know that he mocks Allah and His Sharia, and you tell your sister, you say to her, "This one who is coming to propose to you mocks the verses, mocks the Messenger, mocks Allah, the Most High." She says to you, "But he has good manners, and I will work after marriage to convince him to leave these things." Imagine when you say to her, "But this one is a disbeliever, and it is not permissible for a disbeliever to marry a Muslim woman." She says to you, "No, no, do not declare people disbelievers." May Allah help us.

Conclusion: A Call for Dignity through Islam

Be dignified through your Islam, be proud of your religion, be proud of defending your religion. Make touching even a part of your religion something heavy that you cannot bear. Be angry for Allah, glorify Him and support Him, and ally with those who ally with Him and oppose those who oppose Him. May you deserve to look at the noble face of Allah. May you say on the Day of Judgment to Muhammad, peace be upon him: "O Messenger of Allah, we defended you and your religion so that we may be under your banner, be gathered in your group, and enter Paradise with you." And Allah is the one we seek help from.
