Introduction: The Danger of New Laws on the Muslim Family

Peace be upon you. This word is regarding a very dangerous project here in Jordan and in other Muslim countries, which will affect us, our children, our religion, and our morals if it is passed. It is the issuance of laws related to our children under the pretext that they are linked to a convention signed with the United Nations. Many people do not know that there are laws intended to be issued and do not imagine the extent of the danger. Our goal is to raise awareness and raise our voices so that this change does not happen.

I intentionally spoke in colloquial language today because I want my words to reach everyone. And if necessary, I will repeat it in formal Arabic so that our brothers in other countries can understand. The important thing is to advise everyone.

And before I delve into the topic, let me ask you a question: If a stranger comes to you from the street and says, "I want to take your son or daughter to school," and you do not know this person's name, origin, religion, or morals, and you send your young son or daughter with him. What would you be called? A traitor, you have no jealousy, right?

Well, if you entered this person's profile on social media and found a video of him holding whiskey, his eyes red, and he is in a bad state while taking other people's children. You saw his CV (curriculum vitae) and scrolled through some of his posts and found him to be of unknown origin, a dealer in pornographic magazines and films, and you saw posts of him making children pornographic films, abusing them sexually, and boasting about this. You asked him, "Is this you in the profile?" He said to you, "Yes, but when I take your children to school, I will respect your values, customs, religion, and traditions." Can you respond to this person with anything other than spitting in his face and expelling him from the house?

So how if, when you searched his criminal history, you found that when he was entrusted with the task of guarding a children's school, he would go and rape them, and he is also involved in human trafficking, and he spreads sexual diseases among them to eliminate some of them, and he has a long history of this type, and that there is documentation of all this. So how if you knew that Allah the Almighty informed you about him that he brings you and your children nothing but evil? No, and he is not only coming to take your children, but he is also interfering with you on how you talk to them, how you raise them, and accompanies them throughout their lives until he takes them to hell.

Imagine if this vile, despicable person attacked your money chest and stole your money, attacked your refrigerator and stole your food and your children's food and said to you, "Give me your children, I will raise them in my way, otherwise you will not have my money or food." Imagine if one of the household members cooperated with this despicable person and helped him steal your money and food, and went up to the roof of the house and punctured the water tank so that you would die of thirst and told you, "Listen to the pimp's words, otherwise you and your children will die." What would you call this collaborator?

Response to Objections and Common Misconceptions

Wait, before you mislead the masses with your populist speech, what does this dramatic example have to do with your speech about the child law that is intended to be enacted in Jordan and in other Muslim countries? Do you compare the United Nations, this respected and ancient global body, to this despicable pimp? Ah, the saying applies to you: "There is a current in the country that has taken it upon itself the task of misleading people in matters related to human rights for women and children, exaggeration, distortion, and profiting from populism." Since many people do not read, you are merchants of religion who profit from people's ignorance. Otherwise, if people read the draft of the child law submitted to the House of Representatives, you would not find anything wrong in it. But you are the enemies of women, children, and human rights, you dark ones, you reactionaries, you bigots, you ignorant, you backward.

  • So now you want criminal parents to beat their children until their faces turn blue, or even break their arms? A respectable father doesn't need to beat his child at all.

• "Are you upset that the law requires educating boys and girls about sexual life?"
  • So now you want boys and girls to be ignorant when they get married, not knowing anything about sexual life, leading to failed marriages, where the husband doesn't satisfy her and doesn't care about her emotional needs? Don't you know that many cases of divorce are due to failures in the bedroom? Don't you care about the poor woman who doesn't know how to raise her children or dies unlawfully from an unsafe pregnancy? Have you noticed that it's called "sexual health," meaning we want our children to be healthy.
• "Don't you like the freedom of expression that the child law draft mentions?"
  • Do you want the child to remain repressed, oppressed, and stifled so that you can breathe your psychological complexes and feelings of inferiority onto the poor thing?
• "Don't you like that the law stipulates respecting the child's privacy in their correspondence?"
  • Do you want to spy on them and consider your children's privacy as permissible? Isn't spying forbidden by account? Didn't the Lord of the Worlds say: "And do not spy"?
• "What don't you like about the child law?"
  • What? Tell me! Its emphasis on combating drugs and addiction, providing education, and psychological guidance. Bring me one article in the law that clearly contradicts our Islamic religion and our noble values.
• "Even the child's freedom of belief and religion, the government took it away, even though if they left it, it wouldn't matter."
  • Do you want to force people into Islam? Didn't Allah say: "There is no compulsion in religion"?
• "The government removed from the child law the permission for teenagers to have abortions, even though if you ask me, it should be allowed."
  • What if a girl is raped by a savage and becomes pregnant unlawfully? Isn't it better for her to have an abortion? Do you want her to be ostracized by society that doesn't show mercy and have a child so people can talk about him as an illegitimate child? Are you afraid that abortion is forbidden? Brother, let her have an abortion in the early stages of pregnancy before the soul is breathed in. We are making the laws as we want them. So even if they make laws about freedom of religion and freedom of abortion, there is nothing in it.
• "Didn't the government and the Women and Child Committee in cooperation with the Law Committee in the House of Representatives say that the law is drafted in a way that respects our values, religion, and Jordanian culture?"
  • Don't you trust them? Or do you want to be more vigilant than them and be more concerned about our children than they are?
• "Do you think the world is targeting you as Muslims and coming to fight your religion and destroy the morals of your children?"
  • Brother, the world doesn't care about you, doesn't see you, and isn't afraid of you because you are weak and backward. Everything you do is a conspiracy theory, a conspiracy theory. The United Nations has convictions that it sees as good for humanity. You are free not to agree with these convictions, but not to conspire against us. "Indeed, some assumption is sin."
• "When countries agree that the green light means go, car, and the red light means stop, car. And when countries agree that the age of 18 is suitable for marriage, just as it is suitable for driving a car. Is this called a conspiracy?"
  • Come on, aren't Muslim countries members of the United Nations? So the laws they draft aren't the infidels drafting them as you claim and incite people. No, these laws are drafted through agreement and consultation between Muslim and non-Muslim representatives from all over the world. Brother, its name is the "United Nations" so that you read it as "the United Nations." You don't even know how to read Arabic. Or do you want to disbelieve our country's representatives at the United Nations? Oh, we want to disbelieve and write deeds for the fire.
• "Why don't you like the child law? Are you afraid for your children from it? What is this weak religion that you are raising your children on? And you can't protect them from a little change in the laws."
  • Raise them on the religion and leave them, and may a mountain not shake you with wind. You have always said that Islam is in danger and the children are in danger. What about our children and what about Islam? These mosques are open, our women are veiled, and no one prevents you from raising your children. Moreover, you stood with the child law project itself.
• "Aren't you the ones who say that the laws are in conflict with the rulings of Islamic law? What's new in the matter? According to your words? Ruin upon ruin."
  • Isn't the religion of Allah victorious? And isn't Allah's light? Are a few changes in the laws going to erase Islam from existence?
• "What do you want? And the rest of the Muslim countries do not adhere to international conventions? Are we living on the planet Mars? Aren't we part of this world and the international system?"
  • Do you want Jordan and the rest of the Muslim countries to reject any amendment to the laws even if it leads to depriving us of United Nations aid? Do you mean you are ready to pay millions of dinars instead of this humanitarian aid that one of you can't even find to eat?
• "By the way, those who defend the woman and child law and some of its parts are Muslim women who wear the hijab as well."
  • But do you know the difference between you and them? They read, and you don't. The difference is that they are concerned about women and children, and you, the dark men, want to continue exploiting women and children and oppressing them.
• "By the way, notice, you dark ones, while we respond to you, how many verses we quote and how many hadiths? We are more Muslim than you."
  • You are the ones who don't understand the Quran, the Sunnah, Islam, or read, and if you read, you don't understand. A truthful statement was said about you: misguidance, exaggeration, distortion, and gaining from populism because people don't read.

What do you think, brothers? Is this young man's speech convincing, isn't it? Do you have a response? I honestly have a response to every point of the twenty points he mentioned, but I will show you the size of the deception or ignorance and the triviality of the fallacies practiced in presenting these objections one after another. The matter is big and dangerous. It is equal to our religion and the religion of our children, and our future and the future of our children. So we must address it and discuss it point by point. And we will dedicate this week to protecting the child. I will present to you, dear people, a group of documented, concentrated, important, and shocking facts. Expose the Truth of the United Nations and Its Agenda

The Beginning of the Story

The story is that the United Nations had issued a treaty on the rights of the child, and the officials of the Muslim countries had signed this treaty, with some countries reserving certain clauses of the treaty as they contradict religion, customs, and traditions. Of course, they put the true religion of Islam, false religions, and customs in one basket.

If it contradicts Islam, why did they sign it? We reserved our position. We refused to commit to certain clauses of the treaty with all dignity, defiance, and consideration for the sovereignty, dignity, and independence of the state. And thus, the shock was absorbed at the beginning.

Now, after a certain state signs the treaty, it will be required by the United Nations to make amendments to its laws to ensure the implementation of the treaty's clauses. Over the years, every country's representative to the United Nations is questioned about the speed of implementing legal amendments to achieve the treaty's clauses. Of course, this treaty is not about technical things like regulating air navigation lines so that our planes do not collide with theirs. These treaties are related to values, morals, detailed transactions, legislation, social relations, rights, and duties among people, meaning a system of life. Since those who draft them do not have Islamic motivations or values, this results in clauses that contradict Islam.

Means of the International System to Silence Peoples

To silence the Islamic peoples about the implementation of the treaty's clauses, the international system and its tools take several means:

1. Removing Reservations: We mentioned that they reserve certain clauses as they oppose religion and values, as mentioned. So, sometimes, in a moonless night, the state removes its reservations on the clauses it had reserved on. Without considering local specificity, a council of the people, or anything of this democratic decor. This is what happened with the CEDAW treaty on women, on which many countries had reservations on some clauses.
