Peace be upon you and the mercy of God and His blessings, dear brothers. May God keep you and bless you with goodness. We apologize once again for the delay and technical difficulties. We are grateful to the brothers who tried, may God reward them well, for transferring the broadcast to another platform; this platform recognizes the correct answers through artificial intelligence (AI), and it also helps us be more fair in determining the first winner.
They tried their best, but glory be to God, even though we conducted a test (Test) yesterday, things broke down today. Please forgive us for the unintended delay, and may God make things easier in the coming days. Today, dear guests, we have nine questions, and you should know that this is the second-to-last competition, as we will stop the competition after tomorrow on the 26th of the month to allow for more devotion in worship during the last days. We ask God, the Almighty, to raise our spirits and yours.
God, the Almighty, says: {The close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous.} And He narrates what the remorseful will say about bad companionship: {Woe to me! Would that I had not taken so-and-so as a close friend.} On the other hand, making the right decision by opposing the misguided companion will be a source of joy and happiness on the Day of Judgment.
Question: Mention two verses in which the misguided companion is addressed, expressing this joy.
Answer: Mu'az Abdullah Darar answered, and the answer is God's saying: {By Allah, you almost led me astray. Had it not been for the grace of my Lord, I would surely have been among the doomed.} Consider the difference; there is one who says: {Would that I had not taken so-and-so as a close friend. He indeed led me astray from the remembrance after it had come to me}, but this believer paid attention and did not follow his evil companion, so he says on the Day of Judgment: {Indeed, I had a companion who said, 'Are you indeed of the believers? When we have died and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be recompensed?' He said, 'Do you look on?' So he looked and saw him in the midst of the Hellfire. He said, 'By Allah, you almost led me astray.'} Then he expresses his joy at eternal life and salvation from punishment: {Are we not to die except our first death? And we will not be punished?}
A divine matter is related to two commanded ones, so one of them asks the other what may seem like a delay in responding to God's command until the consent of a human being, but it is not so.
Question: What are the three words that may seem to imply that?
Answer: The answer came from "Du'aa Ahmad" and "Ibn Abdullah," and it is: {So look at what you see.} The context from Surah Saad: {And when they had both submitted and he had laid him down upon his forehead, We called to him, "O Abraham, You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, thus do We reward the doers of good. Indeed, this is an obvious trial. And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, And We left for him a good reputation among the later generations: "Peace upon Abraham." Thus do We reward the doers of good. Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. And We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants were doers of good, and wrongdoers to themselves. Then his wife said, "O woe to me! Shall I bear a boy while I am an old woman and this husband of mine is an old man? Indeed, this is an amazing thing." They said, "Are you amazed at the decree of Allah? May the mercy of Allah and His blessings be upon you, O family of the house. Indeed, He is the Praiseworthy, the Generous." So We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants were doers of good, and wrongdoers to themselves. Then when he reached the age of exertion with him, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice you, so look what you see." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded; you will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast."}
Some may think that Ibrahim, peace be upon him, was seeking permission from Ismail to obey God, far be it from them. Ibn Ashur says: the meaning is "consider what you will respond to this command with," because the command, as it concerned the essence of the boy, had a share in obedience to attain the reward of satisfaction and the offering of the self. And Ibn Kathir said: he informed him of that so that it would be easier for him and to test his patience and endurance. As for Al-Tabari, he said: this was not consultation in the obedience of God, but to know what was in the heart of his son so that he would be pleased with it, and in any case, he was proceeding with the command of God.
Intoxicants confuse the mind just as a knife sheds blood.
Question: Mention a single word that conveys this meaning.
Answer: Abdullah Shaloun answered, and the word is: {They are not intoxicated.} God, the Almighty, says in describing the wine of Paradise: {No intoxication will they have therein, nor will they be intoxicated.} The commentators say: "They are not intoxicated" means their minds are drained and gone, just as blood is drained from a wound.
One of us hopes to meet the Prophet (peace be upon him) on the Day of Judgment to kiss his noble hand and say to him: "May God reward you well for us." While the people of falsehood wish to see their leaders, whom they exalt today, to do something completely opposite to them.
Question: Express this action in six words from the Quran.
Answer: Balal Mahmoud Al-Azqili and Farah Ad-Diyah answered, and the answer is: {We will make them beneath our feet so that they will be among the lowest.} The people of the Fire ask God to show them those who misled them, not to honor them, but to put them under their feet in humiliation. These are the ones for whom giant statues are erected today and worshipped; this will be the condition of their followers with them on the Day of Judgment, as God says: {Our Lord, we obeyed our leaders and our elders, but they led us astray from the way. Our Lord, give them double the punishment and curse them with a great curse.}
One of the methods of the people of falsehood in fighting the truth and turning away from it is to make their audience believe that the person of truth has a foreign agenda and is working in a conspiracy to corrupt the affairs of society, such as Pharaoh's saying to Moses: {I fear that he will change your religion or that he will cause corruption in the land.}
Question: Mention four words from the part of the day that contain another example of this.
Answer: Abdullah Shaloun and Farah Ad-Diyah answered, and the answer is: {Indeed, this is something intended.} God says: {And the eminent among them went forth, [saying], "Go and be constant to your gods. Indeed, this is something intended."} That is, behind this call is a hidden purpose and a concealed agenda. Sayyid Qutb, may God have mercy on him, says in "The Shadows" about this verse: "This is the familiar and worn-out method by which tyrants divert their masses from engaging in public affairs and seeking the truth... For the engagement of the masses in knowing the truth is dangerous to tyrants, and it exposes the falsehoods in which they drown the masses."
Four words indicating that everything other than God is created by Him, the Almighty.
Question: What are these words?
Answer: Adel Qadu and Maryam Lababidi answered, and the answer is: {Allah is the Creator of all things.} This statement indicates that all things other than God are created, and it is a response to the philosophers who claim the eternity of the world (such as the earth and the heavens) or the eternity of souls, which are false statements that negate the Creator from His creation, as mentioned by Imam As-Sa'di, may God have mercy on him.
In the sacred hadith: "I am as My servant thinks of Me," so good or evil suspicion leads to an action that saves or destroys its owner.
Question: Mention a part of a verse (nine words) that shows evil suspicion that God followed by stating that He destroyed its people.
Answer: Habib Mahmoud and Amin Zarkani answered, and the answer is: {But you thought that Allah knew not much of what you did.} And the completion in the following verse: {And that was your thought which you thought concerning your Lord, and it has ruined you, so you have become among the losers.} As-Sa'di says: "Ruined you" means destroyed you because of the evil deeds that your evil suspicion of your Lord necessitated.
The exaltation of Allah, glorified and exalted be He, is a fundamental belief present in all scriptures. In the story of Musa, peace be upon him, there is evidence of this in two consecutive verses where the word is mentioned once with the definite article "Al" and once without it.
Question: What is the word without the definite article "Al"?
Answer: Ahmed Jalal and Muhammad Al-Mizan answered, and the word is: reasons. Allah, the Most High, says: {And Pharaoh said, "O Haman, build me a tower that I may look at the reasons * the reasons of the heavens and see the God of Musa. And indeed, I think him to be a liar."} The context is that Pharaoh wanted to build the tower to look at the God of Musa in the heavens, indicating that Musa, peace be upon him, had informed him that Allah is in the heavens (i.e., in exaltation). Pharaoh mocked him with this request.
A noble creation was used with a letter indicating the immediate occurrence of its result.
Question: Mention this letter only.
Answer: Aniosse B answered, and the letter is: Faa (فـ) or "Fa-Idha" (فإذا). Allah, the Most High, says: {Repel, [O Muhammad], by that which is better, and indeed, he, between whom and you is enmity, [will become] as though he was a close friend. Fa-Idha (فإذا) the one with whom there is enmity between you and him [will become] as though he was a close friend.} Here, the "Fa" with "Idha" (فإذا) indicates the sudden and swift change in the relationship due to repelling with what is better.
A servant may err and be tried, then repents well, so Allah elevates him to a better rank than he was before the sin. There is a verse that mentions an example of this, and it contains a number.
Question: Mention this number only.
Answer: Anas (Anas S) answered, and the number is: one hundred thousand. Allah, the Most High, says regarding Yunus, peace be upon him: {And We sent him to a hundred thousand or more.} Yunus, peace be upon him, left his people without the permission of his Lord and was tried by the whale. When he supplicated and repented, {There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers}, Allah saved him and sent him to this great number, and they all believed. As for the "or" in His saying {or more}, it means "rather," i.e., rather they are more, because Allah does not doubt their number but rather He encompasses all things in knowledge.
Conclusion: This was the second-to-last competition, and we conclude with an upcoming session, by the permission of Allah, the Most High. May Allah reward you well. Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
