Greetings, dear audience.

Introduction: Warning Against the Spread of the Pandemic as Divine Retribution

A word I say now and I believe you will realize its importance later. We must be cautious about excessive talk of the pandemic as if it were the anticipated divine retribution that will submerge the noses of the tyrants. The impression that is built with this discourse in people's minds is that finally, Allah the Almighty is intervening to put an end to the injustice that has reached its peak.

You can imagine what will happen if the pandemic recedes from global systems that knew how to exploit it, tightened their grip, and became more controlling and oppressive over people, and the general public did not increase except in hardship and poverty. A group will ask: "Is Allah avenging us? Is this how Allah's retribution is? Where is Allah?" They were waiting for Allah to crush the oppressors and relieve the oppressed. If Allah does not fulfill their illusions, they will say: "We disbelieve in Him."

This is the same mentality that led to disbelief when Allah did not support us in the Arab revolutions. And we, in the beginning, warned of this setback and wave of suspicion towards Allah. And while we say to them: "If you disbelieve, you and all who are on the earth, then indeed Allah is Free of need, Praiseworthy," and we say to them: "So whoever disbelieves, let his disbelief be upon him, and it will not increase the disbelievers in anything but hatred with their Lord, nor will it increase their disbelief except in loss." If we say that to them, we also warn ourselves, the virtuous, and the followers not to inflate the illusions of people today by excessive talk of the pandemic as if it were the anticipated divine retribution.

The Pandemic is an Opportunity Without End

Yes, this pandemic shows human weakness and shows Allah's power, but it is no more than an opportunity. Either the Muslims will exploit it, no more than an opportunity to see the rise of societies and nations. It has laws that do not change. And the nation attains its status for its laws. It is an opportunity. And we should not wait for Allah to complete the battle for us and bring us victory and relief on a plate of gold. These are laws that do not favor anyone.

And Allah did not will to make the victory of the Muhammadan nation with a shout or a tremor or a bird, but He put for us the past foundation until the Day of Judgment that the initiative must be from the Muslims. If Allah wills, He would have made them victorious, but He wants to test some of you with others.

Ourselves, our families, our children, and we say: "What do you mean, what can we do?" But in our hands is much, but we have become accustomed to shortening, postponing, and slackening, and our souls have become accustomed to that. And we hope with that for a loophole in the laws in our favor and that it will be changed for our sake, and you will not find a change for Allah's law.

This word, dear audience, preserve it and store it in your memory and on your devices, so that if you see the beginnings from yourselves or from people that: "Why did Allah not support us? Is this how Allah's retribution is?" We increase in weakness and subjugation, and the oppressors increase in tyranny, say to them: "Say it is from yourselves, verily Allah is over all things competent." We ask Allah to help us reform ourselves so that we may be worthy of His victory. Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.
