Greetings, may peace and mercy of Allah be upon you. This talk is titled "Vaccines for Corona," meaning COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus. Scientific answers to 20 questions. Vaccines are what people commonly refer to as vaccines. In this talk, we will answer 20 questions, God willing, various questions.

Introduction and Questions of the Talk

Firstly, what are the sources of information for this talk? What are the most prominent vaccines? Are there published studies about them? Are the studies reliable? Have the vaccines been approved? Are they effective? How long does the immunity acquired from them last? Is it possible that their effectiveness is lost against new forms of the virus? Are these vaccines safe? What is the mechanism of action of each? Do they modify our genetic material? What is the story of aluminum in vaccines? Are the vaccines safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding? Have they been studied in people with chronic diseases? Have they been studied in different ethnic groups of people? Have studies been conducted on a sufficient number of people? Haven't we reached herd immunity in many countries, known as "Herd Immunity," and therefore there is no need for vaccines? How were they produced so quickly? Can these vaccines be damaged during transport and storage? Finally, can I postpone taking the vaccine until I contract the disease?

We begin with God's blessing and answer the first question.

Sources of Information and Methodology for Dealing with Them

What are the sources of information for this talk?

Some may wonder why I mention the sources at the beginning or mention this point at the beginning, and they usually mention the references at the end. The truth is, brothers, there was great confusion during COVID-19, and many people circulated clips in various forms and colors. Personally, I received many clips and various questions from people, which made me eager to spread this talk, although I preferred to wait a bit to see the good and bad of these vaccines. But with that, I said let's talk in this talk to give a methodology for dealing with such matters.

Brothers, many people circulate clips without knowing their owners or their scientific qualifications. Glory be to Allah, the truth of what was said: "If only those who do not know would keep silent, the dispute would be lifted." If only those who do not know would keep silent, the dispute would be lifted, meaning if only the speech were restricted to those who know in the field, this great dispute would not have happened. But everyone speaks from their own perspective.

As it was also said, as Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak said: "The chain of transmission is part of the religion, and if it were not for the chain of transmission, anyone could say whatever they wanted." This is in the science of hadith and also in natural sciences. The chain of transmission is part of the religion to refer and say so-and-so told me about so-and-so. Similarly, in our sciences, you must provide evidence. We are a nation of evidence. Allah the Almighty said: {Say, "Bring your proof if you are truthful."} and He said: {Say, "Do you have knowledge that you can produce to us?"} We are a nation of evidence and we should not circulate anything without evidence.

The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "It is sufficient for a man to lie that he narrates everything he hears." Everything he hears, he narrates, spreads, and incites people. No, brothers, this is not the case. When the circulation of things whose validity we do not know increases, the truth is lost in the midst of it, and people eventually become bored and numb to the information, even the true information.

My son says: This clip has reached me and it may be correct, I must warn Muslims about this vaccine, I must warn people about that vaccine, I incite people to this. Brothers, the matter is not to be dealt with in this way, because it is a great responsibility. Personally, I hesitated a lot before delving into the topic, because it is a responsibility on both sides. Whether we tell people this vaccine seems to be safe, trust in Allah, and take it, I bear the responsibility before Allah the Almighty and before the people. And if I say no, and they refrain from taking the vaccine out of caution, okay, suppose you refrain them from something they actually need, or some of them need it, and thus those who did not take it are harmed, you also bear the responsibility before Allah the Almighty. Therefore, only those who know should speak.

Allah the Almighty said: {And when a matter of security or fear comes to them, they spread it. If they had referred it to the Messenger and to those in authority among them, those who could derive it from them would have known it.} Therefore, we must learn that every science has its art and its people who can derive and conclude and bring out the truth.

Thanks to Allah the Almighty, I have returned to dozens of sources, dozens of sources that may not all be mentioned even in this list. I also returned to some specialists in the field, the brothers working in this field, and many of them are in America and outside America, and I verified the information to the utmost possible verification. Therefore, God willing, what we present to you is all documented and has references. {And we do not testify except to what we know, and we are not keepers over the unseen.} This is the utmost we have been able to reach.

Among the references I relied on: the FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration), and documents from Pfizer and BioNTech. There are also scientific papers from "Nature" and other various journals. There are also news websites that have talked about these vaccines. You can refer to these references.

Prominent Available Vaccines

What are the most prominent vaccines being discussed?

There are six vaccines or vaccines:

1. Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine: Pfizer is an American company, BioNTech is a German company.
2. Moderna vaccine: an American company. And both vaccines rely on mRNA technology. Of course, I will not delve much into the technical and academic scientific details, but I will mention some scientific facts so that the talk, God willing, is enjoyable and beneficial also for the brothers working in the medical field and not only for the general public. That is, this talk is for the general public and for those working in the medical field.

So we have the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and the Moderna vaccine. 3. Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine: the British-Swiss company. It relies on DNA. 4. Sinovac vaccine: Chinese. 5. Sinopharm vaccine: Chinese. And they are two Chinese vaccines based on the "Inactivated Virus" (the weakened virus). 6. Novavax vaccine: it is for an American company and relies on the technique of using "spike protein" meaning a part or protein from the virus's proteins.

So these are the vaccines that we will talk about, God willing. The last vaccine, Novavax, I will not talk about it for a simple reason that it has not reached the stage of clinical trials, and therefore it has not been marketed and has not obtained a license for its use. That may happen in the foreseeable future after months, but currently there are no clinical studies and it is not in use. Therefore, we will shorten the discussion to the first five vaccines and begin with God's blessing.

Published Studies and Their Reliability

Are there published studies on each of these vaccines?

As for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, yes. The Moderna vaccine, yes. The Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine, yes. The Sinovac vaccine, yes. The Sinopharm vaccine, no, there are no published studies in peer-reviewed journals or international magazines about the Sinopharm vaccine. This distinguishes it from the previous four vaccines. Of course, I mention the vaccines by their company names, otherwise each vaccine has its own specific name.

For example, the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, this fact sheet from the FDA talks in detail over thirty pages, meaning this is of course one of its pages, in 30 pages about the vaccine, its results, safety, and so on. The Moderna vaccine also has a published paper in BMJ that talks in detail about this vaccine. The Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine has a published paper in the journal The Lancet, one of the world's leading known journals, talking about it, meaning about the clinical study conducted on this vaccine. We are talking here about clinical studies.

The Chinese Sinovac vaccine also has a published paper in The Lancet Infectious Diseases, and this is a journal with a high impact factor, a strong journal, there is also a clinical study published about it. I repeat, as for the Sinopharm vaccine, I apologize here, Sinovac is by mistake, Sinopharm, we said there is a published study about Sinovac, but Sinopharm, not Sinovac as in the slide. There is no published study about the Sinopharm vaccine.

Is that reasonable? Yes, it is reasonable. And there is a paper in Nature titled "Arab nations were first to approve Chinese COVID vaccine despite lack of public data." Meaning Arab nations or Arab countries were the first to approve the Chinese COVID vaccine, despite the lack of public information. This article emphasizes that the countries, which are of course the UAE and Bahrain, did not talk about any scientific results, nor did the manufacturing company, and we do not have clear information about its effectiveness or safety. Therefore, there are no published studies about Sinopharm.

Are the published studies reliable?

Look, brothers, this is a very thorny issue, the reliability of published scientific research. I say, honored guests, those who follow me know that I advocate not taking Western science as a "package" with its rights and wrongs, its mistakes and correctness. I criticize, for example, what is called the theory of evolution in a long series, and in this series, I use papers from Science, Nature, Cell, and global magazines that I use to criticize what is called the theory of evolution. I say, these results, let's see the results and see how they interpreted them. Often, the results are correct, but the interpretation is wrong, misleading, and leads to falsehood. We have correct information, and we need to distinguish between results and conclusions.

Therefore, honored guests, I am truly astonished by some brothers who take such topics as issues of loyalty, innocence, right and wrong, and attack those who speak of Western studies as if they are heretical with falsehood. Brothers, let us be fair, balanced, and distinguish between the good and the bad in Western science. There is true information, there are good results, there are results that may be fabricated, and this is often revealed in the wheel of science, and there are correct results and false conclusions. Here we use our minds to distinguish between results and conclusions.

I say, honored guests, the studies that have been issued regarding the vaccines are indeed difficult to fabricate. It is difficult to fabricate them. They are monitored by governments, academics, competitors, doctors, people, and the media. Fabrication means to conduct a fabricated experiment, which is difficult. I am among those who warn against the misuse of science, and I published before months an article titled "Testing drugs on people: Facts and warnings." I talked about the necessity of clinical trials but about the precautions within them and how sometimes there is exploitation of people and their poverty under the pretext of clinical trials, but with that, we cannot reject them in totality.

Also, honored guests, I published a note months ago about a study, for example, published in the journal "The Lancet," which is a global journal among the strongest medical journals in its field, and yet there was a study that I pointed out that I expected it to be retracted because it shows signs of fabrication, and this is not my conclusion but the conclusion of others, and I am convinced by their conclusion for the following reasons. Then, indeed, the study was retracted within about a week. So, honored guests, no excess and no negligence. It is truly difficult to fabricate here, and as long as we have published studies and there is "double-checking," there are other eyes focusing on the subject, it is difficult to reject these studies in totality.

Approval of the vaccines and their effectiveness

Have these vaccines been approved?

We say, honored guests, the vaccines have not been approved in the same way as drugs usually are, but rather, we can say that they are permitted to be used with caution. These vaccines have been granted what is called the "Emergency Use Authorization" (EUA). Meaning the cautious permission to use them for emergency cases. Meaning because the situation is now an emergency, since we are in an emergency situation, they are permitted to be used with caution.

This EUA differs from the "Approval" in America and other countries. "Approval" means the drug is approved, used, and sold. However, in the case of EUA, there is stricter scrutiny, requiring the company to submit a monthly report on the drug's effectiveness, any side effects that have appeared, and at any moment, the use of this drug or vaccine in our case can be stopped. Therefore, they have not been approved in the literal sense but rather what is called the "Emergency Use Authorization," the cautious permission to use them due to the emergency circumstance. Therefore, honored guests, what you will hear is about information on effectiveness and information on side effects, which is not fully mature. Why? Because the vaccines are relatively new in use. We are still talking about a few months, and therefore we do not know their long-term safety.

Are these vaccines effective?

According to published studies:

• Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine: Approximately 95%.
• Moderna vaccine: 94-95%.
• Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine: 70-90%. What is the story of 70 or 90? Low doses were used, which were later believed to be low doses. These doses used initially in the first round of the first vaccination, then followed by the appropriate dose, did not give the desired results as if they had used the appropriate dose then the appropriate dose. Meaning these vaccines that we are talking about, the first three at least, are given in two doses. When they used the appropriate dose in the first and second time, the percentage jumped to 90%. Therefore, AstraZeneca Oxford's vaccine may be slightly less effective than Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna, although the comparison is not as simple as that because the circumstances of the experiment differ in many cases, relationships, and so on.
• Sinovac vaccine: The permitted one, according to more than one site, has exceeded 50%. Okay, exceeded it by how much? 60, 70, 80? It's not clear, it's not clear.
• Sinopharm vaccine: As I told you, there are no published studies to accept and talk here about the effectiveness exceeding 50%. Also, this site "Bloomberg" talks about the effectiveness exceeding 50%, but we do not know 60-70-80%, we do not know.

Therefore, it is clear that the American vaccines are currently leading in terms of effectiveness.

Acquired immunity and the evolution of the virus

How long does the acquired immunity last?

The answer, dear respected individuals, is honestly not clear. It is not clear how long it will last. Now, according to "Global News," based on published "Data" or published information, it is "Months." In the case of the Pfizer vaccine, we are talking about at least two months, in the case of Moderna at least three months. Why do we say two months, three months? Because those who entered the study and are still being followed in terms of effectiveness and the presence of "Antibodies" in their blood, it has not been more than a few months for them either. Therefore, we do not know. We say at least two months, at least three months, it could be six months, seven months. There are sites that say six months, and this may be based on "Phase One Studies," the first-stage studies that had a limited number of patients. The important thing is that we are talking about months at least, but it is not clear how long the effect will last.

Note, brothers, by the way, even those who contract COVID-19 with the coronavirus disease can return to the disease with a small percentage, yes, but it is possible to return to the disease. There is a scientific paper that states that it conducted an analysis on the results of approximately one hundred thousand patients and found that the return of the disease occurs at a rate of between two and six percent, meaning 26 people out of every ten thousand. A small percentage, but it occurred during the study period. Therefore, it is possible that the disease may return. It is possible that the disease may return. Therefore, it is even more likely that if someone is exposed to the vaccine, they may also return to the disease after the vaccine. How long? God knows, we do not know yet.

Can these vaccines lose their effectiveness against new forms of the virus?

This is indeed an important question. Now we hear that the virus is mutating, it is undergoing "Mutations," taking new forms such as the "Spike Protein," which is one of the most important proteins for the virus to enter cells. Mutations have occurred in it now. Will these vaccines remain effective against these new forms of the virus, or will they lose their effectiveness?

There is a published news item from a few days ago that states, first of all, let us say that the Turkish doctor who is one of the founders of the German company BioNTech said that it is likely that the vaccine, the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, will be effective even with the new forms of it, the form that appeared in Britain a few days ago. However, the company says that even if it is not effective, we will be able to produce an effective vaccine within six weeks. Therefore, the possibility is real that the vaccine may lose its effectiveness.

Vaccine Safety and Mechanism of Action

Are these vaccines safe?

Look, brothers, as long as there are published studies and not random news without evidence, we can refer to these studies. Now, the fact sheet issued by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration about the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, for example, tells us in detail, one of the tables, tells us in detail the side effects and in how many they occurred in the treated group and in how many they occurred in the control group. The control group means the people who take everything in the vaccine except the active ingredient. They tell us in detail the side effects.

Here we are talking about side effects such as pain at the injection site, "Fatigue," which is a general state of tiredness, headache, muscle pain, joint pain. These occur at a high rate, meaning most people who take the vaccine will experience these side effects, most of them. In the case of the first Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, there are cases of what is called "Anaphylaxis." "Anaphylaxis" is known to be a severe allergic reaction in which there is constriction of the airways and dilation of the blood vessels, sometimes developing into anaphylactic shock, which is the most dangerous. However, why do we say this? Yes, cases have occurred, limited cases. This confirms the necessity of administering the vaccines in qualified health centers. First, it is possible that some people may be asked to take precautions, for example, with steroids before taking the vaccine to prevent this reaction if it is known that they are exposed to such reactions. And if it happens to a person unexpectedly, there must be immediate treatment. Therefore, it is a fact that "Anaphylaxis" has occurred, and it is considered an important side effect, but no deaths have been recorded worldwide as far as I know.

Why do I say, brothers, that all the information is still immature? For example, news came out four days ago or three days ago about the second American vaccine, the Moderna vaccine, that it may cause side effects in people who have been exposed to fillers or Botox in the face, it causes "Inflammation," it causes swelling and inflammation. The inflammation goes away, but it causes this side effect. It is a fact that unusual side effects may occur that are not foreseen or expected because we are still talking about relatively new vaccines.

What is the mechanism of action of these vaccines?

You notice the first two vaccines, the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines, are "mRNA vaccines." Here I will not delve into the details until my brothers outside the medical and therapeutic field get bored, but I will say briefly: the RNA enters the cell, the ribosomes read it, and the "Spike Protein," which is the protein usually present on the surface of the virus so that it can enter the cell, is produced. If someone wants to understand more about these details, I had made an episode from the Journey of Certainty titled "The Amazing Genetic Code." The Amazing Genetic Code, if you write "Qanbi the Amazing Genetic Code," it will bring up the episode for you to understand what happens inside the cell.

Therefore, the fact is here that "RNA vaccines" enter the cell, the ribosomes read it, and proteins come out of it. The immune system in the body forms antibodies against these proteins, and we have memory cells.

Now we have the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine, the idea of which is to place the DNA in this case the "viral DNA" inside a virus which is an "Adenovirus," a certain virus called Adenovirus, and we inject the virus into the body, and the virus will also deliver this genetic material that is read inside the body's cells.

We have the "Weakened or Inactivated Vaccines," meaning complete viruses but at least externally, but they are weak and not capable of dividing inside the human body. This is the technology used in the two Chinese vaccines, Sinopharm and Sinovac. Therefore, they are complete viruses but weak, weak and not capable of causing infection.

And Novavax, which has not yet been released to the markets, which is essentially the same proteins, the same "Spike Protein" as a "Subunit," is injected into the human body. In all these cases, brothers, the result is that "Spike Protein" will be produced, or in the case of the Chinese vaccines, we said the Spike Protein and others are also present. The important thing is that immune bodies will be formed. These immune bodies remain in the body for a period, the period we said we are not sure about, remain in the body for a period so that if you are exposed to the real virus, the body will be ready. Therefore, this is the idea of vaccines in any of the forms we mentioned, you will have antibodies and immune memory cells, immune memory cells that are ready so that if the real virus enters, it will be attacked directly and eliminated.

Genetic Modification and Aluminum

Do these vaccines work or modify our genetic material if taken?

The short answer is no, they do not modify the genetic material. Unfortunately, one of the things that has spread is the claim that these vaccines will change your genetic content and consequently, if a disease occurs in you, you will not get rid of it for the rest of your life because it remains stuck in your body. My brothers, this is not scientific. And so that I do not prolong the discussion for non-specialists, I will speak briefly so that the lecture is also enjoyable for specialists.

Let us first consider the American vaccines, namely Pfizer with BioNTech and the Moderna vaccine. These two vaccines rely on messenger RNA. So, an RNA strand. This RNA, my brothers, will not insert into your genetic material. Why? Usually, viruses containing an RNA strand enter this RNA, and with it, or it forms with it, an enzyme called "Integrase" and an enzyme called "Reverse Transcriptase". The "Reverse Transcriptase" makes a DNA copy of the RNA, and the "Integrase" actually stuffs the DNA into your genetic material.

Now, in our case, in the case of vaccines, there is no "Reverse Transcriptase" or "Integrase". The RNA and the drug are in the cytoplasm, meaning outside the nucleus. Now, your genetic material is in the nucleus. The vaccine remains in the cytoplasm in the cell fluid. It does not enter the nucleus at all. It does not enter the nucleus at all. As we said, we do not have the "Integrase", and we do not have a certain thing we call "NLP" or "Protein". These are not present to help the DNA enter the nucleus. Therefore, the vaccine remains in the cytoplasm and does not enter the nucleus at all. It does not enter the nucleus at all, where the genetic material is. It is as if you are talking about two separate rooms. Also, this vaccine RNA is "Fragile", meaning it is fragile and does not last long. So, the loop is not going to enter, and it only forms and then breaks down.

Now, what about the adenovirus, which is the Oxford AstraZeneca virus? Now, here we actually have DNA, not RNA. And indeed, the virus enters the cell and injects its genetic material, injects the genetic material into the nucleus. So, notice what we did? We took the DNA of the "Spike Protein", which is a specific protein from the coronavirus proteins, and put it in another virus called adenovirus. This virus enters the cell and injects the coronavirus DNA into the nucleus. Ah, you will say, "This is a problem, then the DNA has reached our nucleus where our genetic material is." I say to you, the adenovirus does not stuff its genetic material into the cells it enters. The adenovirus, my brothers, has been used for more than thirty years, for about thirty years or more, and it has not happened that genetic material is stuffed into the human genome.

What about the aluminum in vaccines?

We have heard that these vaccines contain aluminum. For example, I read in the Chinese vaccine that it contains aluminum hydroxide "Adjuvant". So, it has aluminum. I honestly do not know what I read in detail about the other vaccines, but incidentally, I read that it is present in Sinovac aluminum hydroxide. Now, will this aluminum actually deposit in the brain and cause disabilities, diseases, and so on?

Know, my brothers, that this aluminum is not something new. It has been used for more than a hundred years. And it has been used in vaccines for perhaps more than a billion people, as this paper published in 2015 before the coronavirus says. Even aluminum, which has been widely used for about a century, has been given to billions of people. But still, "has no answer to the questions regarding its potential connection to conditions such as MF and Alzheimer's disease". That is the answer. We do not have answers as to whether it causes MF, a certain neurological disease, or Alzheimer's disease. Well, how do we not have answers? Yes, we do not have answers. Because, my brothers, a vaccine taken in childhood. A person grows up with it. Does this vaccine have a relationship? We do not know. Can aluminum reach the brain? Yes, it can reach the brain. Does it cause problems? We do not know. Can it cause clear and rapid problems when given in a vaccine? No. It does not cause clear and rapid problems such that we can say yes, this problem resulted from the aluminum in this vaccine. But can it have a role in causing a disease in the brain in the long term? We do not have an answer.

The point, my brothers, is that the story of aluminum in vaccines is not a new story, nor is it specific to the coronavirus, nor is it a conspiracy that aluminum is deliberately placed to poison people and damage their minds. No, my brothers. It is an "Adjuvant" that helps the vaccine to stimulate the immune system so that antibodies are formed well. It is necessary for vaccines. It or its alternatives are necessary for vaccines. And we do not have clear answers as to what it can do. It is not a matter of it being placed deliberately to harm people. This is truly not scientific.

Special Categories and Vaccine Trials

Are vaccines safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

The answer is we do not know. We do not know. As in the fact sheet for the Pfizer vaccine, for example, and BioNTech. We do not know if it is safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women, and it is not currently approved for administration to pregnant and breastfeeding women. There are animal studies that have not shown problems, but still, we do not have information.

Have they been studied in people with chronic diseases?

We know that those with, for example, high blood pressure and those with respiratory diseases, some groups of people with diabetes, some groups of people are more harmed by the coronavirus, meaning COVID. We are interested in knowing if people with chronic diseases have been given the vaccine. The answer is yes. Yes. For example, this is the case with the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine, you notice that almost half, except for a little, of the people have certain diseases, they have diseases they took the vaccine. The other half or more than half a little 53-54% did not have diseases. And in detail, the types of diseases and the percentage of each in detail. How many with diabetes, how many with high blood pressure, how many with "Heart Failure" cardiac muscle failure, and so on. The same is true with Moderna, there are five thousand people under fifty-five who have chronic diseases. So, this vaccine has been tested on people with diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and others.

Have these vaccines been studied in different ethnic groups?

Why does this question matter? Perhaps these vaccines are effective, for example, in "White Americans", "Caucasian Americans" in certain ethnic groups present in America and not in the Arab world. Therefore, we are interested in seeing if they have been tested on diverse ethnic groups. The answer is yes, they have been tested on diverse ethnic groups as shown here in this table. But from what I have seen, I have not seen that they have been tested on people from our region, North Africa, or what is called the Middle East with the objection to this name. It has been tested on some "Asians" who are Asians of different ethnicities, but perhaps it has not been tested on our region within the clinical trials yet, and God knows best. But it has been tested on many ethnicities.

Have studies been conducted on a sufficient number of people?

Why am I asking this question? Some say, "Brother, the published study talks about a hundred people." There are several studies, brothers. A study that talks about a hundred people or less than a hundred is a "Phase One" study, a first-phase study. But after that, we have second-phase and third-phase studies. For example, with the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, we are talking about 44,000 people who were tested with the vaccine. Of course, now after the start of vaccination, and perhaps we have reached hundreds of thousands of people who have tried different vaccines, so we have a large number. Therefore, studies have been conducted on a large number of people.

Again, brothers, I say this does not mean that in the future, in the coming weeks, months, or years, we will not see side effects that did not appear in the hundreds of thousands who have used the vaccine so far. We do not say that, and only Allah knows. But in order to correct the information, the vaccine has been tested on a large number of people, let us say instead of a sufficient number, a large number of people, in fact, in the thousands or tens, and in some cases, it reaches hundreds of thousands.

Herd Immunity and Production Speed

Haven't we reached close to herd immunity and therefore there is no need for vaccines?

What is the philosophy of this question? Some say, "Brother, it's over, those who got infected got infected, those who recovered recovered, those who died died, and those who saw saw. It's over, most people have been infected." No, most people have not been infected.
