Don't Let the Flame of Gaza Be Extinguished
Peace be upon you.
My words are not to share with you the pain and oppression, but on the contrary; so that we can work together to do something truly useful in the direction of fulfilling our duty and pleasing our Lord.
What can I do for Gaza?
What can I do for Gaza? Some of you might say, "Enough, I've had enough, leave me alone, they and their suffering are none of my business, I want to see my life."
This is not the way, my brother. By doing so, you are handing yourself over to destruction. Do you know why Allah Almighty revealed: {And spend in the cause of Allah and do not throw [yourselves] with your [own] hands into destruction}? Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari said: "It was revealed to us, the Ansar, for when Allah Almighty honored our religion and supported His Messenger, we said among ourselves: We have left our families and wealth until Islam spread and Allah supported His Prophet, so if we return to our families and wealth and establish ourselves therein, we will mend what has been lost from it. So Allah Almighty revealed: {And spend in the cause of Allah and do not throw [yourselves] with your [own] hands into destruction}."
This is about the jihad of seeking knowledge, meaning the jihad that Muslims begin to expand the control of Islam over other countries. So what about when we are in a state of repelling an enemy who kills our brothers in their homes? Withdrawal is not an option, and apathy and disgust are not options.
To whom is this speech addressed?
So what do we do? My speech is not for those who can save our people in Gaza with weapons, money, and men, and yet do not do so, but rather conspire against them. Those who do that, we say to them: May Allah avenge you and make you a lesson, and make you taste humiliation and torment in this world before the Hereafter.
My speech is for those who burn for the support of their brothers and wish they could ransom them with their lives, wealth, and blood, but are prevented by obstacles. I say to you: Come, let us preserve the victories of Gaza.
The great victories of Gaza
How so? We have all seen the great results of the patience and jihad of our people in Gaza:
- People's attachment to Allah.
- Teaching the meaning of patience, heroism, and sacrifice.
- The awakening of the lost youth.
- The spread of boycotts, including their religious impact, as well as causing the collapse and damage of companies that openly support our enemies.
- Disrupting normalization and gender plans and destroying the morals and creed of the youth.
- Hatred of the criminal infidels, many of whom imitated them yesterday and saw them as role models.
- Many turning to learning Islam.
- Changing the distorted stereotypical image of religiosity to an image of a strong man who is severe against the infidels, merciful to the believers, and takes the means of military, strategic, and religious strength.
- The spread of the spirit of love in Allah and the gathering of Muslims on a common concern in supporting Gaza after the manufactured nervousness and nationalities tore us apart.
- Knowing the hypocrites and traitors.
- The rekindling of the spirit of jihad anew after this word was criminalized and people feared even mentioning it.
- The great religious awakening that has spread throughout the body of the nation, east and west.
All of these are great victories, very great indeed, not less important than military victory. Our brothers in Gaza paid the price for all of this. Our duty is to prevent their loss because we know how precious their price is. This is a jihad from you and me. When we exert this jihad, we feel that we are with our brothers in Gaza, we sense the unity of the arenas. They are on the front, and we are on the front. They support us, and we support them. They achieve these victories with their patience and jihad, and we prevent these victories from being lost and melted away.
Do not be distracted from direct support
But wait, our brothers in Gaza say to us: "Rescue us, reach us, save us before it's too late." They want our blood, weapons, food, and medicine, not for us to be distracted by these matters and leave them to die. Yes, our preservation of their victories that I mentioned does not mean at all that we are distracted from supporting them and working to save them. It is never acceptable to say: "Burn, O people of Gaza, to light the way for humanity, shed blood to make it shine." This type of speech becomes a disgrace and a distraction of the people from their duty towards our people in Gaza. And such speech will please the traitors and hypocrites, they will say to themselves: "Yes, let's finish off Gaza and conspire against it, and leave you to preach and circulate clips of patience, satisfaction, and preserving what you call victories."
Never, O brothers, one duty does not replace the other. We will continue to urge the support of our people in Gaza with money, life, blood, and weapons, and we will consider those who prevent this as traitors and disassociate ourselves from them to Allah.
What do we do if we are unable to provide direct support?
But after that, if the Muslims who are burning as individuals are unable to provide direct support to their people in Gaza, what do we do? Do we despair? Do we become depressed? Do we break down mentally? Then fall into apathy and disgust and be distracted by worldly matters? This is exactly what the infidels and hypocrites want, so that Gaza becomes a lesson for everyone who wants to raise his head and continue the slaughter, while people return to their former state of heedlessness and distance from Allah, and the voices supporting Gaza begin to be surrounded and criminalized.
Until now, in many Muslim countries, no one is recalling to reflect the wave and prevent people from raising their voices in support of Gaza's jihad and hatred of its enemies from the countries of infidelity, while if the general public is tired, then gradually the laws enacted by the international system are applied so that supporting Gaza becomes terrorism, and declaring the criminality of its enemies becomes an offense to the feelings of friendly countries.
This is what our enemies want, so that the victory of Gaza turns into defeat, fear, and oppression, as happened in the counter-revolutions of the Arab Spring. And they usually succeed in turning victory into defeat because they work with patience and we get bored quickly. No, our brothers, we do not want to get bored this time. Do not let the victories of your brothers be lost.
Avoiding Frustration and Lethargy
Peace be upon you. It is not required of you to sit and follow the clips, lament, and break down inside, then do nothing. Many of us have this binary division: either I follow the news of Gaza and see the details of the suffering, or I stop following it. If I follow, I will feel anger, then helplessness and subjugation, then I will break down. If I stop, I will feel that I have betrayed them, let them down, and left them to their enemies.
No, the division is not binary in this way. If you are able, go and support them yourself. If you are not able and obstacles stand in your way, there is a third option, which is the correct one: to know about their news without exhausting all your time and nerves in merely following it as if it is required of you. Rather, turn your pain, love for them, and anger towards their enemies into action to preserve the victories we mentioned.
If your determination wanes, remember their suffering again to save your determination and motivate yourself to strive as they strive. It is not required that we sit and await the results of the military battle in Gaza as mere spectators. Preserving the victories of Gaza in the non-military arenas is our role. These victories are not connected to what will happen in the military arena. Whatever happens to our brothers, we ask Allah to save them, support them, and destroy their enemies. Whatever the course of the military battle, our other battles must continue, and we must continue to do our best to preserve and solidify their victories. If we do not do that, we have indeed betrayed them and let them down, and at that point, we should expect that it will be our turn.
The events of Gaza must bring about a real, stable, continuous, and growing change within us, otherwise, we have indeed betrayed them. The overwhelming support we saw at the beginning of the events is a good omen, but the change we see in our lives on the ground is not at the level of the overwhelming support at all. Everyone is in pain for Gaza, but how many have become regular in their prayers? How many have left their forbidden work? How many have stopped helping the oppressors and traitors for money? How many have covered properly with the hijab? How many fathers and mothers have taken care to raise their children on the meanings of faith, sacrifice, and jihad after the events of Gaza? How many teachers have decided not to betray Allah, His Messenger, and the believers by teaching the trash of gender and what the curricula expose from the covenants of the United Nations and international law as the Sharia that we must be judged by? This change exists, but it is little, not at the level of the event at all, and not at the level of the enemies' schemes at all.
We all sympathize and are disgusted. If the door of jihad were opened to us, many of us might go out. But now, the reliance is on patience and action without lethargy or disgust, and also without frustration and burning as our enemies want. This concern is not a favor from us nor a preference; it is a religious duty.
Practical Steps to Preserve the Victories
I will not elaborate today on what can be done, although we have spoken about it and will speak about it, God willing. However, I will say in the briefest manner: the war is in rounds. If you cannot participate in this round with yourself and your blood, then prepare yourself for the other rounds by taking the religious and material means as your brothers have done until they were able to launch the Al-Aqsa Flood.
- Do not slacken in the boycott, for it is a training for the self and the children and a declaration of severance with the enemies of Allah.
- Continue to show support for your brothers and hostility towards their enemies, and repeat, renew, and emphasize that so that the ceiling remains high.
- Do not let the popular momentum decrease, and silence the injustice from besieging and suppressing the support for Gaza.
- Return to the Qunut in prayers and putting up stickers on cars and shops in support of your brothers and hostility towards their enemies.
- Boycott the hypocrites, traitors, and apostates, and do not support them or help them in their evil and conspiracies.
- Do not be deceived from today by those whose masks have fallen, and remember that they are the root of our affliction and weakness.
- Do not be an agent for international institutions and Western countries in passing their projects and agendas such as social gender, corrupting women, children, and youth, children's rights, youth rights, and imposing the reference of the United Nations. You are not cheap to be bought with their money and jobs to pass on disbelief and fight against fitrah and morals.
- Reduce the consumerist lifestyle so that you can be able to liberate yourself.
- In all of this, discipline yourself and your children to sacrifice for the sake of Allah, to attach to the Hereafter, and to the meanings of dignity and honor, and take your brothers in Gaza as an example in all of this.
- Spread among the Muslims good thoughts about Allah, acknowledgment of His wisdom, and directing their energies to perform the obligatory acts of worship upon them.
- Utilize the events in building the creed, the creed of the loyalty of Muslims to each other, uniting their ranks, and showing the ugliness of what divides and tears us apart from borders and nationalities, which have torn us apart and weakened us in front of our enemies, so that we put these ignorances under our feet.
- Utilize the events in consolidating the innocence from the disbelievers, and winning over those who do not fight us from them to the religion of truth.
- Utilize the events in taking pride in Islam and consolidating the conviction that we are indeed the best nation brought forth to humanity, and that without the sovereignty of Islam, the world turns into a jungle of beasts, and consolidating the conviction that international agreements and treaties are mere trash with no value, and promoting them instead of the Sharia of Allah is betrayal and deception.
- Perfect your studies, O youth, so that we can dispense with the criminals in our food, medicine, clothing, and all our livelihood.
Do all of this while keeping in mind that you are preserving the victories of your brothers for whom they have shed their blood, and work with an open heart, determination, and certainty of Allah's victory for His believing servants, even if it is after some time.
We ask Allah, the Most High, to enable us to support our brothers with ourselves, our blood, and all that we have been given of strength. Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.
