Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. May Allah bless you with goodness wherever you are, and may He bless us and you in this night.
What children around the world are subjected to is a massive and significant issue. Children are systematically and deliberately subjected to the distortion of their innate nature at an early age, pushed towards indecencies and abominations, and lured into gender transformation. Laws are enacted to criminalize anyone who stands in the way of this or attempts to awaken the innate nature of children.
Today, the concept of "state paternalism" is being imposed, where the state has the right to take children from their parents and give them to other families or raise them under its own supervision. This is accompanied by changes in the educational curriculum towards the corruption and pollution of the minds, hearts, and innate nature of children.
What happened in Sweden, and what we have seen in recent weeks regarding the removal of children from their parents—primarily from Muslim families and non-Muslim families—is just one episode in a very dangerous series that we must be aware of.
Brothers and sisters, it is not appropriate for us as Muslims to say, "We are tired of the topic of Sweden; let's talk about something else." The issue is not about "what the listeners want" or jumping from one topic to another without guidance or real achievement. Rather, when we discuss a specific topic, we should stay with it, develop it, and produce a fruitful outcome before moving on to another topic.
The beauty of the topic of child removal in Sweden—which, as we have explained, is not confined to Sweden—is that it has sparked a global wave, a natural uprising, and widespread discontent. Therefore, we must invest in this natural wave.
There is a statement drafted by a group of distinguished individuals, signed by a number of educators, scholars, influencers, psychologists, and academics. We urge you, esteemed individuals, to sign this statement and disseminate it as widely as possible.
Some may ask, What will signing the statement change?
The answer is: "Seek forgiveness from your Lord, perhaps they may fear Him." As for the criminals, perhaps they will be deterred and stop this rush to attack the innate nature of children. When you sign and confront this issue, you are saving your children and stopping the tide that may one day reach our countries.
The current war is not just against Islam; it is a war against innate nature, so that the legitimate discourse is no longer beneficial to humanity because their identity is obscured, their innate nature is distorted, they see truth as falsehood and falsehood as truth. We want to save the children of the world, and Allah the Almighty has commanded us to strive so that there may be no fitnah (trial).
Allah the Almighty says:
"And if Allah willed, He could have exacted retribution from them [Himself], but [He ordered the fighting] that He might test some of you by means of others." (Surah Muhammad, 4:27) "And We have made some of you a trial for others—will you be patient? And your Lord is Ever Seeing [of all things]." (Surah Al-Fajr, 25:20)
This statement is titled "In Defense of the World's Children - The Sweden Statement" and is available for everyone to sign, including non-Muslims who fear for the institution of the family and reject the "CEDAW" Convention and its derivatives.
We regret that the Swedish authorities have chosen to turn a blind eye to the facts and attempt to tarnish media awareness by labeling it as "a call for terrorism," and intimidating the movement demanding fair rights. Therefore, we call on them to exercise balance and listen to the voice of reason.
We are keen on the right of children of all religions to grow up together, for moral corruption, if it strikes in one place, spreads like a plague in this open world.
What the Social Services Department ("Social Services") does to children and their families is the opposite of the intended care goals. It punishes parents for teaching their children values that are inseparable from their religious and cultural beliefs, which the constitution guarantees (based on their principles of freedom of belief).
The removal of a Muslim child and placing him in an unknown family to erase his faith is the destruction of the family. In Islam, even in times of war, it is not permissible to separate children from their mothers, so how can a state that raises the banner of human rights do so?
We have mentioned in previous episodes the grim fate of some of these children, from documented news of being devoured by dogs or subjected to physical and sexual assaults in foster families. These practices tear apart societies and raise resentful generations.
We continue to present the clauses and demands of the statement addressed to the Swedish authorities and the international community:
Based on the above, the signatories to this statement demand the following:
First: Immediate Intervention
Intervene urgently to stop the current policy, which leads to the removal of children from their families, and work to return the children who have been removed to their original families.
Second: Formation of Community Mediation Committees
Form committees from the Swedish community, including the diaspora, to act as mediators between the responsible authorities and the families. These committees aim to define the values of human rights, dignity, and justice in a way that does not prevent families from raising their children, while achieving community security, family cohesion, and mental health for all. These committees also work to improve the conditions of families and educate them in a pedagogical manner rather than resorting to the immediate removal of children.
Third: Support for Independent Human Rights Initiatives
We commend the efforts of the "European Human Rights Center" in advocating for the preservation of families and reducing the intervention of "Social Services." We ask them to exert more effort in this direction. We note that this center and its operators are not Muslims, which confirms that the issue is a general human and natural one.
Fourth: Stop Interfering in Religious and Moral Values
Stop the intervention of "Social Services" in what families teach their children in terms of values, religion, and morals, and amend the laws that give this department extensive and unregulated powers.
Here is a very important point: We call on Muslim communities to fully adhere to the teachings of their religion in dealing with justice and mercy towards spouses and children, adhering to the religion first, and even to avoid giving an excuse for external intervention.
O father, if you have harshness and bad morals in dealing with your wife or children, this is a crime and forbidden in a Muslim society, so how much more in non-Muslim societies where you are threatened with having your children taken away? Fear Allah and rectify your affairs, and do not give an excuse for your children to be taken away.
We also call on the community to teach their children the sanctity of not assaulting others, the obligation of fulfilling trust, and preserving rights, for this is at the core of Islamic teachings:
"Indeed, Allah orders justice and good treatment and giving to relatives and forbids immorality and bad conduct and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded." (Surah An-Nahl, 16:90)
And the Prophet ﷺ said: "Fulfill the trust to whom it is due, and do not betray those who betray you." You entered this country with security, so you should not betray or transgress against lives, property, or honor.
Allow communities to establish boarding schools and shelter centers for children who cannot remain with their families for justified reasons (such as addiction or real danger to life). Each community should oversee the handling of their children in a way that does not oppose societal security and preserves the child's identity and religion, rather than throwing them into families that may erase their faith.
Here, criticism is directed at some officials in Sweden who claim to represent Islam: Where were you in the past years? Why did you not strive to establish Islamic centers that could serve as a safe alternative when necessary, instead of blaming those who defend children's rights now?
In conclusion, we call on the Swedish authorities to open a new page based on understanding and cooperation, rather than tarnishing just demands.
