Correcting Mistakes and Justice

Our brother, the young YouTuber Hassan Sulayman, known as Abu Fella, had said: "Embrace humanity, then embrace whatever religions you wish." I and a number of brothers advised him on this, and last night he posted a statement saying that he was wrong in this statement, mistaken, and that he would not defend it. He thanked those who advised him, was upset with those who misjudged his intentions, and forgave them. He put in the video description the words "the poor slave" and "one of the noble brothers, Brother Umar Al-Returned," and asked his followers to follow these two words.

And I, in turn, would like to say to our brother Hassan Sulayman: You did well in correcting the mistake, may Allah reward you with good and guide you. And I congratulate you with what Allah the Almighty has said: "So give good tidings to My servants who listen to the word and follow the best of it; those are the ones whom Allah has guided, and those are the ones who are the possessors of understanding."

The Importance of Justice and Mutual Advice

However, some people say: "Abu Fella has such and such mistakes and did not correct such and such." Even if so, the justice that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, taught us means that we bear witness to the good of those who do good, and we do not focus only on the mistakes, but we advise each other. If my brother Hassan or anyone advises me about a mistake I have, I will take his advice and humble myself to it.

As Allah the Almighty has said: "The believers, men and women, are protectors of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and establish prayer and give zakah and obey Allah and His Messenger. Those - Allah will have mercy upon them. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise." And our Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "The religion is advice." There are mistakes with our brother Hassan as there are mistakes with us, and we ask Allah to guide us and him to correct the mistakes.

Responding to Negative Criticisms

The second point, brothers, when I posted my advice to Abu Fella, some people commented negatively: "You are exaggerating the issue, you want fame, why don't you advise him in secret?" Praise be to Allah, I did not pay attention to these people, and the advice reached and affected and was accepted by our brother Hassan, and it was a reason for an important concept to reach many young people. So this is a lesson for all of us not to pay attention to negative talk that discourages us from enjoining good and forbidding evil.

We, as Muslims, need each other, and many young people are simple and kind, and in this there is much good and education for an important principle that young people need about the reference of Islam and its sufficiency.

Advice to Abu Fella and His Followers

Finally, I would like to address a word to my brother Hassan and to my brothers from his followers.

To My Brother Hassan

Hassan, you are a man whom Allah has blessed with the love of many young people. Your followers love you, and I loved you for the forgiveness and humility to the truth that I saw from you. This love and acceptance is a blessing from Allah and a trial at the same time. A blessing and a trial, as Allah the Almighty has said: "That He may test you with what He has given you. So compete in good deeds."

You, my brother, influence a large number of young people, and these young people are a trust in your neck. Imagine if you meet Allah on the Day of Judgment and He is pleased with you, you say to Him: O Lord, I loved them all for You. If you meet the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, you say to him: O Messenger of Allah, these I loved them for You and for their following you so that the nations may boast of them, O Messenger of Allah. By Allah, O Hassan, your joy at that time, O your joy at that time!

Aspire, O Hassan, to be among those whom Allah has said about them: "And the forerunners, the forerunners - those are the ones who will be close to Allah in the Gardens of Pleasure." And ask Allah and stand in the last third of the night seeking His help. A simple word from you will have a great effect, Allah is aware of it.

And advice, O Hassan, stay on your individual initiatives. When millions follow you, they follow you for your simplicity and forgiveness, not because you enjoy the patronage of any party. Stay simple in your initiatives, and strive for the company of Allah to be with Allah. This is the most beautiful, purest, and most deserving of the correctness of your intention and the purity of your work from any blemish.

To the Followers of Hassan

And advice to my brothers, the followers of Hassan. Young people, all the words I said do not conflict with the fact that it is not right to spend long hours in gaming. By the will of Allah, you are at the beginning of your age, at the peak of your strength and energy. We are not against the fact that a person enjoys himself with lawful enjoyment, but give everyone their due, from learning religion and acting upon it, and striving for the benefit of your nation, and honoring your parents, and performing your social roles.

Supplication and Conclusion

So I ask Allah to guide you, O Hassan, and O followers of Hassan, and to open for you, and to correct your work, and to forgive your sins, and to guide you and guide others through you, and to honor your nation through you. And I ask Allah for me and for all who hear us now the same.
