Revive your heart with the Quran so that your soul may find tranquility in faith. Recite it at all times and seek its blessings of contentment and clouds of forgiveness.
Peace be upon you and mercy of Allah... My brother, imagine that you received a message from a sincere, wealthy, influential man who says to you: "I am interested in you, concerned for your welfare, I want to bring you closer to me and bless you with some of what I have." How happy would you be with this message? I think you would cherish it and memorize its words, share them with others, and perhaps sing them with your own tunes and hum them on your way.
This wealthy man is one of the billions of humans inhabiting the planet Earth, and Earth is one of the planets in the solar system, its size about one millionth of the size of the sun. The sun is one of the hundreds of millions of stars in the Milky Way galaxy, and the Milky Way galaxy is one of the billions of galaxies captured by telescopes (Hubble and others).
Light, oh brothers, travels the circumference of the Earth in about one-eighth of a second, and some galaxies are billions of light-years away from us, meaning the distance that light travels in billions of years, such as the galaxy discovered by NASA in 2011, which is 13 billion light-years away.
This great universe is filled by Allah with angels who glorify Him and to whom they prostrate. These seven heavens are nothing compared to the throne of Ar-Rahman, and Ar-Rahman on His throne, glorified be He, sends us messages which are the "Quran."
In these messages, Allah tells us that He wants to have mercy on us and forgive us, and He wants for us the good of this world and the hereafter. He wants to bless us, bring us closer to Him, make us among His special ones, and admit us into His proximity. So, how should we be joyful with the Quran?
My brother... my sister... let us invoke this meaning when we read His words: {And indeed, it is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds}. Imagine the meaning of "Lord of the worlds"? Let us invoke this meaning as we read His words: {O mankind, there has come to you a warning from your Lord and a healing for what is in the breasts and a guidance and mercy for the believers. Say, "In the bounty of Allah and in His mercy - in that let them rejoice. It is better than what they amass}.
Is it not an honor for us that Allah, the Great, speaks to us, we humans who are of no value in His kingdom? Kings refuse to speak to the common people, while the King of Kings speaks to us. What greater honor is there!
Therefore, what we want from today's reminder is that you should remember, whenever you read or hear the Quran, that it is the speech of the Lord of the worlds who wants to honor you, elevate your status, and raise your worth... so He has spoken to you.
Peace be upon you and mercy of Allah and His blessings.
