Allah's Concealment of His Servants' Sins

Subscribe to the channel and they will praise you with a sweet praise. At that moment, do not be deceived by yourself, but remember that all of this is only from the favor of Allah who has shown the good and concealed the ugly. If He were to reveal the ugliest thing about you, perhaps they would leave you and say about you: "He has been tested with the evil of his deeds." Imagine how painful it would be to hear this word, and how much it would increase your distress.

This speech is not only for the disobedient, for there is no one among us whose heart is alive except that he knows about himself things he wishes Allah would conceal. For every child of Adam is a sinner. Search within yourself, if you are not sinning now, you have certainly disobeyed Allah in your past and it is inevitable. And it is possible that the servants of Allah would have known about that, causing your image to shake in their eyes after they loved you, but Allah has concealed it for you.

Perhaps you have been lax in spreading what is attributed to your Muslim brother as a flaw that burdens him, and you say: "The responsibility is on the narrator," causing what is not in him to spread, while Allah has concealed what is in you. Your enemies may rejoice in that. If it is not a sin with the limbs, then thoughts that pass through the mind or feelings in the heart, if people were to know about them, they would tarnish your image, but Allah has concealed it for you.

I return to say: Everyone who has life in their heart knows this. As for those whose hearts have died, they become accustomed to evil and their souls are pleased with it, and they do not magnify the right of their Lord, so they belittle their disobedience and consider their obedience to be much. If you do not see Allah's concealment upon you, this is a serious indication that your heart has hardened and no longer sees the favor of Allah in concealing you.

An indication that disobedience has become light for you because the right of Allah has become light in your eyes. And what has made it light is that Allah has not exposed you with it. If people were to know about it and you were to see their aversion to you and your fall from their eyes, then you would regret it and it would become great in your eyes. But only Allah has known about it, and it has become light for you, so the right of Allah has become light for you, and thus your disobedience has become light for you.

Warning Against Revealing Concealment

The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, warned us that each one of us may reveal his concealment from where he did not expect, saying: "O assembly of those who have submitted with their tongues but have not brought faith to their hearts, do not harm the Muslims and do not follow their weaknesses, for he who follows the weakness of his Muslim brother, Allah will follow his weakness, and he who follows the weakness of Allah, Allah will expose him even in the depths of his journey."

Think, remember, and ponder how many times Allah has concealed you so that you may love your Lord, the Concealer, glorified be He.

Allah's Concealment on the Day of Resurrection

When you are at a funeral and you hear people praising the deceased. In the hadith narrated by Bukhari, the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah will bring the believer close - on the Day of Resurrection - and will place His veil over him and conceal him, saying: Do you know such and such sin? Do you know such and such sin? He will say: Yes, my Lord. Until when He has confirmed him with his sins and he sees in himself that he is doomed, He will say: I concealed them for you in the world and I will forgive you for them today. I concealed them for you in the world and I will forgive you for them today." Then he will be given the book of his good deeds.

Imagine the sins that Allah has concealed for you in this world, so that only Allah, then its owner, and the preserving angels knew about them, then Allah concealed them after the death of their owner, then concealed them on the Day of Resurrection, so they were buried as if they never were, and Allah will show nothing but the good deeds of its owner, so he will be given the book of his good deeds and will say: "Haoom, read his book!" How, O servant, if Allah had not concealed them, would you say to the worlds: "Haoom, read his book!"

But you may do a deed for Allah, glorified be He, and conceal it so that hypocrisy does not enter your heart, and your Lord, glorified be He, accepts it, then this deed is revealed by your enemies, increasing your love in the hearts of the people and raising your status with them that you have concealed it, and your enemy returns defeated and humiliated.

And if Allah wills to spread a virtue that was hidden, He will allow the tongue of an envious person to do so. If the fire had not burned what was adjacent to it, The fragrance of the wood would not have been known.

So thank Allah who has done this with your good deeds and has not done it with your sins and evil deeds.

Thanking Allah for Concealment

And remember the words of Abu Muhammad al-Andalusi al-Qahatani addressing the Lord of Might, glorified be He: You are the One who formed me and created me, And guided me to the laws of faith. You are the One who sheltered me and protected me, And guided me from the confusion of abandonment. And You planted love between the hearts, And with Your mercy and kindness, You showed me affection. And You spread my virtues in the worlds, And concealed my disobedience from their eyes. By Allah, if they had known the ugliness of my secrets, They would have refused to greet me when they meet me. And they would have turned away from me and filled my company, And I would have been brought down from honor to humiliation. But You have concealed my faults and my examples, And You have pardoned my slips and my tyranny. To You belong all the praises and eulogies, With my thoughts, my sides, and my tongue. To You belong all the praises, my Lord, praise as You are pleased with, not fading over time. And upon Your Messenger, the best of prayers from You, And the greeting and the best of pleasure.

Reward for Concealing Others

Finally, in recognition of Allah's favor upon you for concealing you, and so that His concealment may continue upon you, conceal the servants of Allah. For the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Whoever conceals a Muslim, Allah will conceal him in this world and the hereafter." And in the hadith authenticated by al-Albani: "Whoever washes a deceased and conceals him, Allah will forgive him forty times."

Meaning, you may see something about the deceased that would displease him if he were alive for people to know about it, regarding his end, illness, tattoos before commitment, even in terms of lack of care for the cleanliness of his clothes or body. Allah has concealed you, so conceal the servants of Allah. And whenever your soul inclines you to speak about the faults of people, remember Allah's concealment upon you. And peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.
