My beloved daughter Sarah wanted to address messages to the children of her generation.. May Allah guide our daughters and sons together
Peace be upon you, I am Sarah, and today will be the first episode of a series titled "The Purpose of Life". This story is true, told to me by my father about a person we will call "Abu Ubaidah"; to preserve the privacy of his family and their feelings.
Abu Ubaidah left Jordan and worked in the UAE for 40 years, and his only goal and dream in life was to build a palace in Jordan. For this dream, Abu Ubaidah worked hard and stayed up many nights.
After Abu Ubaidah gathered the money, he began sending it to his relative in Jordan to start building the palace. Abu Ubaidah's relative noticed the enormous waste and the large amounts of money being spent on this palace, so he said to him: "O Abu Ubaidah, why don't you live in a beautiful and comfortable apartment without this excessive waste?" Abu Ubaidah replied, "O Abu Ahmad, I have lived abroad for 40 years, and now I want to enjoy my money."
But, did he really enjoy his money? Shortly before the palace was completed, Abu Ubaidah began to feel strange symptoms in his body. He went to many doctors, and after the tests, they told him: "O Abu Ubaidah, you have colon cancer."
Abu Ubaidah began the journey of chemotherapy treatment, which exhausted and wore him out greatly, but unfortunately, there was no positive result, and the disease worsened. The doctors advised him to travel to America, and indeed he went there, but the doctors told him the bitter truth: "It is too late, you have delayed too much, and there is nothing we can do. Return to your country."
Abu Ubaidah was completely shattered; for his dream throughout his life was to live in that palace among his family and friends. And the day after his return, Abu Ubaidah unfortunately moved to his small palace.. which is the "grave."
I wonder, was Abu Ubaidah's goal worth his entire life and all his efforts? And did he achieve it in the end? This makes us think, people:
