To those who rejoice at the killing of protesters in Egypt

Peace be upon you, this word is directed to those who declare that they are pleased with Allah as their Lord, with Islam as their religion, and with Muhammad (peace be upon him) as their messenger, yet rejoice at the killing of Muslims during the dispersal of sit-ins in Egypt.

Consequences of Rejoicing in the Killing of Muslims

I say to you: It is authentically reported from the one you believe to be a messenger that he said: "When a sin is committed on earth, whoever witnesses it and dislikes it is like one who was absent from it, and whoever is absent from it but is pleased with it is like one who witnessed it." By your pleasure with what is happening to the Muslims at the hands of the army and the police, you are a partner in the crime of killing.

And if you are happy with what is happening, then listen to what the one you believe to be a messenger (peace be upon him) says about you: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever kills a believer and is pleased with his killing, Allah will not accept any charity or compensation from him."

This indicates that the one who is pleased, i.e., rejoices and is happy with the killing of a believer, has committed another crime besides the crime of killing itself. The punishment is that Allah will not accept any charity or compensation from you, meaning no obligatory act or voluntary act, no repentance or ransom on the Day of Judgment. All of this is for one Muslim, so what about the hundreds who are killed and the thousands who are injured?

Motives of the Protesters and Actions of the Army

The issue is no longer about the return of Morsi, but the common denominator among many Muslims who are being killed in the squares now is that they saw their religion threatened by the military. The military, who allied with the remnants and the church, released thugs to attack Muslims and violate the sanctity of mosques, released Christian soldiers who kill your brothers and then draw the cross on their chests, and cooperated with the Jews to fly over Sinai and hunt down Muslims as if they were free game.

Warning Against Abandoning the Religion

Do not let your hostility towards the Brotherhood or the Salafis drive you to abandon your religion. And if you, O Egyptian, abhor injustice, then the real solution is to uproot the corrupt apparatuses, not to display hollow, cowardly heroics against your brothers.

And if you are pleased with the killing of your brothers or delegate the killer in pursuit of stability to live the economy and reach a morsel of sustenance, then it is authentically reported from the one you claim to believe in as a messenger (peace be upon him) that he said: "Whoever eats the flesh of a Muslim, Allah will feed him the like of it in Hell." May Allah not comfort you with food at the expense of the dismembered limbs of your brothers.

Justice and Hypocrites

All of this has nothing to do with supporting the presidency of Morsi or defending the conduct of Islamists in power. There is a known stance on this that displeases some members of Islamic parties themselves. But Allah, the Exalted, said: {And let not the enmity of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness.} (Surah Al-Ma'idah 5:8)

And the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) made the sign of a hypocrite that if he disputes, he commits injustice. And what injustice is worse than that the wolves have allied against your brothers under the pretext of their mistakes? No matter how your brothers have erred, Allah, the Exalted, did not make the punishment for their mistakes killing and in such horrific ways that belittle human dignity, let alone Islam: burning until their bodies char, exploding their heads with snipers, crushing them with armored vehicles, causing disabilities, and they do not spare in that a woman, an old woman, or a child.

Consequence of Abandoning a Muslim

For he (peace be upon him) said: "There is no man who abandons a Muslim in a place where his honor is diminished and his sanctity is violated, except that Allah will abandon him in a place where he loves his support." The turn will come to you, and you will need the support of Allah, so He will abandon you by abandoning your brothers. How and when? Allah knows best. And Allah may humiliate you at the hands of the army that you supported and thought was a solid base to rely on. {Those before them did plot, but Allah came at their building from the foundations, and then the roof fell down from above them, and the punishment came to them from where they did not perceive.} (Surah An-Nahl 16:26)

Call to Repentance and Mercy

You will remember what I say to you. So to everyone who has a particle of faith in their heart, to every father who rejects injustice, to everyone who prefers the death of dignity over the life of humiliation, to everyone who knows that Allah delays the unjust until when He seizes him, He does not let him go, to everyone who knows that Allah is patient and does not neglect, to everyone who fears the plot of Allah and fears the evil consequence and the disgrace of the end, to everyone who loves Allah and wishes to be gathered with His messenger and not with the likes of Sisi, the man is gathered with whom he loves.

To everyone who has a brother or son in the army who comes to reconcile and sleep at home, then goes out the next day to kill Muslims, do not prevent him, do not disapprove of him, and do not disown him: fear Allah and do not rejoice in injustice. Extend your efforts to stop these massacres in obedience to the command of our Prophet (peace be upon him) when he said: "Whoever among you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand. If he cannot, then with his tongue. If he cannot, then with his heart, and that is the weakest of faith." If you cannot stop the army with your hand, then disapprove with your tongue, and may your heart be merciful to your brothers.

In the hadith narrated by Muslim, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "And the people of Paradise are three." Do you want Allah to have mercy on you and have mercy on your land? "Have mercy on those on earth, and those in the heaven will have mercy on you. Have mercy on those on earth, and those in the heaven will have mercy on you."

Peace be upon you. May the Muslims have mercy on you. The night's stab illuminated your tears in the eyes. Why do you wear the garment of misery when the book was in the hearts of the youth guiding to the right path, and the fasting was humbled when the book was in the hearts of the youth, O Muslims.
