What Should We Do for Gaza?
Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
Is Supplication Alone Sufficient?
Is it really that we have nothing in our hands except supplication? Who are we that have nothing in our hands, or do we have something in our hands? I mean, who exactly is this referring to? So that we know what we have in our hands to work with. The Israeli writer Ron Kaufman says: "A Palestinian leader with amputated limbs and half-blind named Muhammad Al-Daif planned this war precisely and pushed us into chaos that may last fifty years by controlling twenty settlements and eleven military bases. Even if we manage to bring the bodies of Hamas leaders who are abroad and those currently in the tunnels in Gaza, the catastrophe that occurred in the Gaza envelope will not be forgotten." As translated by Dr. Saleh Al-Naami, who placed a link to the article on his account.
So, is everyone who claims to be Muslim not able to do anything? Of course, everyone has direct capabilities and capacities, and capabilities and capacities that can be acquired and achieved. So, the responsibility of each of us is according to these current and acquirable capabilities to the maximum extent possible for him to achieve.
Responsibility of Those Capable of Full Support
There are those who can fully support the people of Gaza by defending them militarily and lifting the siege from them. Is supplication alone sufficient for them? Of course not, and their supplication, if they supplicate, will be returned to them, and the blood of the people of Gaza is a curse upon them. And every hour that passes and our people in Gaza die of hunger, thirst, disease, or burning with phosphorus, it is a curse upon those who are content with negativity and not supporting the people of Gaza. What about if they participate in killing, facilitating, coordinating, besieging, or otherwise?
Responsibility of Those Unable to Provide Full Support
Okay, for those who cannot fully support the people of Gaza, is supplication alone sufficient for them? No. Their role is to incite others to support them and to disassociate from those who can but do not, and to expose the hypocrisy of those who justify them, but rather make them feel shame and hatred in Allah.
Those who can provide full support but do not, and may even participate in tightening the siege, are not from an external planet, but they have fathers, brothers, sons, friends, wives. They must be screamed at to do what they are supposed to do and not to cut them off.
The Gray Area in the Ummah
Our greatest misfortune, dear ones, our misfortune as a nation is in the gray area, in those who pray and fast and yet are the cause of the continuation of the state of humiliation, degradation, and subjugation to the international system. They do not openly declare enmity towards Islam and its people, nor do they support us in such situations. They are neither with us nor with those who hypocritically justify them. And not one of these people's supplications for the people of Gaza is praiseworthy or appreciated.
Break the idols of the international system and the wretched entity subordinate to it. Our people who have given us a lesson in dignity, who, but for such heroism, we might have feared for them to think that the disbelievers have no conqueror over them, and that they are outside the subjugation of Allah, far be it from Allah. Our people who have supported Al-Aqsa from their place where they are now besieged. Our people in Gaza have done us and our children a favor that will not be forgotten, they have encircled our necks with this beauty.
And now, for this favor that they have done for us and our children, they are being subjected to burning, tearing apart, starvation, thirst, and betrayal. Will we not stand with them in this tribulation and support them with everything we can? This is meanness and a lack of loyalty. We must do everything we can to fully support them.
After that, if our incitement and screaming in the faces of those who can support them does not help, then our duty is to disassociate from these people. Then, we turn to what we can offer. And we should not supplicate for our people in Gaza while we are hypocritical, silent, or in a state of alignment with those who betray them and participate in tightening the siege on them.
What Can We Offer?
After we have offered everything we can in that regard, what else can we offer?
1. Piety and Avoiding Sins
The first thing we can offer is to fear Allah and refrain from the sins we are committing. Our sins are the cause of our humiliation and the control of our enemies and their lackeys over us. "If you engage in usury, take the tails of cows, are content with farming, and abandon jihad, Allah will impose humiliation upon you that will not be removed until you return to your religion."
The first sin mentioned in the hadith is engaging in usury, a form of deception in usury, what about outright usury that many Muslims have become involved in through various usurious dealings with banks. He said, "Indeed, Allah only accepts from the righteous." Before we talk about supplication and any form of supporting our brothers, the first thing we do is leave sins.
Because we are not like the man that our Prophet peace be upon him spoke about: "He raises his hands to the sky, 'O Lord, O Lord,' while his food is unlawful, his drink is unlawful, his clothing is unlawful, and he is nourished with the unlawful. How can his supplication be accepted?" How can his empty supplication be accepted if he is drowning in the unlawful and eating the unlawful? The first thing we do is that each of us sees the prohibitions he practices and his sense of them is dulled and gets rid of them, and if he falls into them again, he does not despair.
And I think that this amazing, earth-shattering, and shaking process that took place last Saturday contains much of the blessings of supplication, the accepted supplication of righteous people.
2. Showing Empathy and Support
It is also required to show empathy and support for the people of Gaza, and never underestimate that, my brothers. Without the support of Muslims for the people of Gaza and their overwhelming joy at their victories, this support and empathy would have been criminalized, and everyone who shows it would have been considered terrorism.
But what do they want to inflict? If the lackeys in the general Muslim countries had the power, they would have shown empathy for the Zionist entity and participated in the chorus of incitement to wipe Gaza off the map, and they would have left the people of Gaza to die in silence and be polite about what they did, while the Islamic peoples are silenced, no one is held accountable. And let the children of Muslims grow up in this distorted situation where they empathize with the Zionists and see their Muslim brothers as nothing.
Your courage in supporting your brothers will, by Allah's permission, prevent this wretched situation, so showing support, even verbally, has a great effect that should not be underestimated.
3. Media Awareness
One way to support your family in Gaza is through media awareness to clarify the truth of what they have been subjected to over the past years. Our children are ignorant of this, and other nations are also subjected to media manipulation so that their leaders lie and claim that they saw the children of the Zionists having their heads cut off by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades.
The blatant support of Western countries for the Zionist entity and their criminal statements inciting the wiping of Gaza off the map, all of this requires them to deceive their peoples and brainwash them. So, work on counter-media and clarify to these peoples how deceived they are. And there are two excellent clips from the "Geo Political Economy Report" channel that clarify the facts about what Gaza has been subjected to and the media distortion, and we will put them in the video description, God willing.
Okay, is the problem of Western peoples only in media manipulation? Of course not, many of them, even if the truth is revealed to them, are hostile to Islam and Muslims. However, on the other hand, there are those who will change their position or hesitate if they know the truth. Creating a rift in their ranks is required instead of them being united against us.
4. Awakening the Creed of Loyalty and Disavowal
One way to support our people in Gaza is by using these events to awaken the creed of loyalty and disavowal. Many of us sympathize with our brothers and are angry at the conspiracy of the disbelievers against them. Then, after more than a month, they start to doubt the justice of Islam when it legislated jihad to make the word of Allah supreme. They are ashamed of some of the rulings of Islam that do not agree with the religion of humanism, such as slavery and jizyah.
He does not connect this with that nor understand that the rulings of Islam came to spread the truth and justice and prevent the crime we see on the earth. Using these events to consolidate our convictions and those of our children is very important.
The Importance of Patience and Continuous Work
The most important thing in this matter, my brothers, is to have patience. The system of temporary gifts does not avail anything. Our brothers in Gaza taught us a lesson that will not be forgotten about the importance of long-term work. They worked with patience and perseverance for years, and no one noticed them. They did not collect likes, nor did the cameras capture their images, nor did they make noise. They were collecting water drop by drop behind the dam, so that when the hour came, the dam would break, and the flood of Al-Aqsa would be a flood in the true sense of the word.
We need to learn this lesson from them and work with patience. But what do you mean by patience, brother? Our brothers are dying, and immediate action is needed? Go back to what we talked about at the beginning of the speech: whoever is able to support them with full support and does not do so immediately is a traitor, a traitor to Allah, His Messenger, Islam, and the Muslims, and we must disavow him.
If you cannot support them with full support, do you give up? Do you destroy yourself? No. This is what your enemies want, to scare you, break you, and turn your joy at victory into sadness and frustration. Rather, what is required of you is to turn your pain into continuous awakening and long-term work and wait for the opportunity to support them fully with yourself and your wealth.
In the hadith narrated by Muslim, our Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever seeks martyrdom sincerely will be granted it, even if he does not reach it." On the other hand, Allah the Almighty said: "And if they had intended to go forth, they would have made ready for it some provision. But Allah disliked their being sent forth and detained them, and it was said, 'Sit [quietly] with those who sit [quietly]'" (At-Tawbah 46).
We ask Allah to be merciful to our people in Gaza, to help us support them, and to grant us the honor of supporting them with full support. Peace be upon you all, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
