Introduction to Patience and Trust in Allah
We often see expressions filled with despair, anxiety, and fear of the future. Imagine if an atheist stood beside you who does not believe in Allah, what would he say about your love for your Lord and your trust in His mercy? Let not the enemies mock us, be patient and persevere.
Contemplate the meanings in this poem, for it is beneficial by Allah's permission and will bring you comfort.
Poem: The Affliction Has Lingered
The affliction has lingered, his face is stern,
And hope has vanished, despair is firm.
He says, "I am lost, a stranger,
Anxious, deeply grieved, my chest is dark."
I am drowning alone in worries, for I have
No neighbor to help nor a friend to pity.
A harsh desert, I cannot see its end,
I walk as the sands burn and strike me.
Either I strive for an oasis I see,
Only to find it a mirage, illusions deceive.
And I fear if my trials increase,
I shall live my life with a broken heart.
The State of the Heedless of Allah's Blessings
If your house is filled with jewels,
Do you say you are poor and needy?
Like a caravan in the wilderness, killed by thirst,
While its back breaks under the weight of water.
What will you say to a listening atheist,
Who hears your complaints and spreads what you conceal?
The Mockery of the Atheist and His Questions
He says, "O Muslims, have you forgotten
What you claimed, that a Lord is with you?
And that when you remember His promise,
You are content with Paradise and patient?
And that the love of Allah is your protection,
And if you rely on Him, He suffices you?
Even tranquility, you claim, is yours alone,
While misery is for others?
Why do I see you then despairing,
Complaining, full of sorrow and pessimism?
You have been deceived by the followers of Ahmad,
And thought that in trials, he would protect you.
Where is the love you claimed brings benefit,
While fear overwhelms and whispers attack?"
As for me, Leila's love is my joy,
And her company is a balm for every wound.
My heart is filled with her love, so
Nothing frightens me, nor do worries crowd.
Thus, with my joy in her love,
I am, when compared to you, more honored and blessed.
Do not ask me to follow your religion,
For I have found comfort, while you have been deprived!
Response to Doubts and Evil Suspicions of Allah
As if I did not answer you with an argument,
The fool went away boasting and mocking.
Oh, what a pity for the servants when they complain
About the mercy of the Most Merciful to the one who does not show mercy!
O Allah, my Lord, how can you complain of loss,
Your complaint is translated from evil suspicions?
Do you think your Lord tests you in vain?
No, for the Lord of the Throne is the Most Wise!
Or if you raise your hand to seek His favor,
Will He withhold the gifts? Indeed, my Lord is the Most Generous!
Or if in truth you said, "My Lord, be with me,"
Were you left alone? No, my God is the Most Wise!
Or you said, "Sufficient for me is the One I rely upon,"
Were you not saved from evil? For my Lord is the Greatest!
So Allah knows best how to bestow a blessing
In a trial, and the afflicted one does not know.
But man has a tendency to be hasty,
And the Lord has a matter to delay, which is better.
Allah does not break His promises, but
If we do not accept Him, we will be deprived.
My Lord is near to the servants, among them
Those who respond to Him, and some who hesitate.
How many tears in my trials I have hidden,
I bear my wounds and my fire burns,
Until I teach those who see me content,
That love is a bond that cannot be broken.
Love is not just words with the tongue,
I am a youth in love, infatuated.
But His love is the surrender of oneself to fate,
And if He calls you to defend your religion, be a slave.
I and my Lord are protectors, I will not be defeated,
So be patient, they do not hope, and you hope
For a reward when they are afflicted and you are afflicted.
Certainty in Allah's Victory and Kindness
Either He will honor you, so you will not taste humiliation,
Or if He humiliates, it is for your own good.
And remember a prophet afflicted with three things,
And with his eyes, he said, understanding:
"To Allah, I complain of my sorrow and grief,
I know what they do not know."
He returned after severe hardship, seeing clearly,
And the family is united, and Yusuf is the ruler.
Glory be to my Lord, how He arranges His affairs,
For He is the Most Kind to what He wills and the Most Wise.
Conclusion and Supplication
My Lord, I have scattered my arrows,
And carried my pens to compose and arrange.
To defend the pool of the Sharia from enemies,
And to prevent what the envious intend.
And to establish in a heart that embraces my letters,
A fortress of love for Allah that will not be destroyed.
So write for a servant who loves you sincerely,
Your vision, for you are the most honored and generous.
So write for a servant who loves you sincerely,
Your vision, for you are the most honored and generous.
