Muslims' Attendance at Eid Prayer
Peace be upon you and God's mercy. Dear brothers, the Muslims' attendance at Eid prayer this year was noteworthy. Now, does this matter to us, or are they like the scum of the flood? No, dear ones. The phrase "like the scum of the flood" is not said about Muslims in these instances as they honor God's rites by attending Eid prayer. Rather, their large numbers here are evidence of the life that has remained flowing in the body of the nation.
Our Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Make things easy and do not make them difficult, give glad tidings and do not repel (people)." We do not say that the large number of worshippers is evidence that the state of the nation is fine, but we say that it is evidence of the persistence of Islam in the hearts despite the very fierce war waged against it on all fronts: defamation in Ramadan series, imprisonment of scholars, and supported stations and platforms for broadcasting desires and doubts. A war that if waged against any other religion, one would think it would have perished long ago.
The beautiful scenes of the large number of Eid prayer worshippers inspire hope that people are close, so your role, O you who bear the concern of Islam, is to strive to bring them closer. Muslims are the substance of Islam; they are its capital. The religion will not be victorious with people from another planet. Spread glad tidings, raise the spirits, and revive the resolve. Fight despair. God is dominant in His affair, but most people do not know.
