What Has the World Lost Due to the Decline of Muslims
Peace be upon you.
You are an employee in the resuscitation department of a hospital. Dozens of coronavirus cases are entering the hospital, and you are responsible for setting up oxygen and monitoring the patients. Today is your shift, but you chose not to go. Why? You are preoccupied with your personal worries, you don't feel like it, or you even forgot that you are an employee. The patients start to suffocate and die, and you are sitting at home. Is this a crime or not? Why is it a crime? I did not kill anyone! But you killed because you abandoned your duty to save people.
Exactly the same is the case when we abandon our duty to save people from disbelief. We, the Muslims, are employees for a wage: "Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties, for that they will have Paradise."
Our mission is clear: "You are the best nation ever raised up for mankind." "Those who, if We give them authority in the land, establish prayer and give zakah and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong." Our mission is to remove obstacles in the path of the call and create a pure environment for humanity. So that humanity does not suffer from the injustice of one another, nor do generations grow up on forms of innate deviation and media misguidance, nor do people get busy with the sustenance of their day and get enslaved to the whales of capitalism.
But we create a pure environment, and we establish justice on earth so that there is no fitnah, so that people are not misguided from their innate nature, nor are they misguided from the truth by deception, nor is the falsehood adorned, nor are they compelled to falsehood. We create this environment so that people can then choose clearly, so that whoever perishes, perishes clearly, and whoever lives, lives clearly, and the right guidance is distinguished from the misguidance, far from the misguidance of the misguiders. "There is no compulsion in religion. The right guidance has become distinct from error."
What is the relation of all this to the parable we mentioned at the beginning? Faith is life, and disbelief is death. And Allah has struck a parable for those who believe after disbelief: "And whoever is dead, We have brought him to life and made for him light by which he walks among the people." When we abandon our mission to save humanity, we lose, and the world loses a lot. The world has advanced in inventions, but it has declined to the lowest depths spiritually and morally, and it continues to decline at an accelerating pace.
Come, let us see models to feel responsible. Come, let us see what the world has lost due to the decline of Muslims, the title of a book by the Indian Muslim scholar Abu al-Hasan al-Nadwi, may Allah have mercy on him.
Economic and Social Losses
When ninety-nine percent of the earth's wealth that Allah created for people is in the hands of less than one percent of the rich, and the wealth of twenty-six people equals what half of the world's population owns, while thousands die daily of hunger, disease, poverty, cold, heat, and displacement, and half of the world's population struggles to obtain their daily sustenance. And arms, oil, banking companies, and reconstruction companies drown countries deliberately in debt and instigate internal conflicts and massacres in coordination between the great powers and the International Monetary Fund to keep them enslaved, as in the book "What Uncle Sam Really Wants" by the American Noam Chomsky, and as in the book "The Shock Doctrine" by the Canadian Naomi Klein, which shows with dozens or hundreds of examples how American politicians and capitalist whales benefit from the miseries of the peoples.
When you see how the heads of the great powers and the ministers of foreign affairs and defense and the members of Congress and Dick Cheney and Condoleezza Rice and Rumsfeld and others benefit from the wars they involve their peoples in, contrary to what is said that they work for the benefit of their peoples, you learn what the world has lost due to the decline of Muslims.
Violations of Human Rights and Global Injustice
When the weak of humanity, Muslims and others, are tortured, burned, imprisoned, raped, humiliated, their possessions are stolen, they are impoverished, and they are displaced under the auspices of the international system and at the hands of its lackeys who are imposed on the peoples. And now millions around the world are suffering the worst torture in prisons and detention centers, and great powers conduct studies on effective torture methods and the destruction of the psychology of detainees, as in the book "The Shock Doctrine" as well.
And in our hands is the Book of Allah, which made the goal of war "so that there is no fitnah" so that people are not misguided, and the One who said: "But if they repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them be your brothers in religion," and made the recipients of the zakah of our wealth "those whose hearts are to be reconciled," so we pay from our wealth to reconcile the hearts of people to the true religion. You then learn what the world has lost due to the decline of Muslims.
Moral Decline and Innate Deviation
When humanity reaches an unprecedented level of moral degradation, killing thousands of children daily through abortion, and for a period, aborted fetuses are treated as clinical waste and burned to generate energy and heat some British hospitals. When the children of fornication are placed in garbage bins or what is called "baby boxes," to grow up resentful of those who gave birth to them, psychologically damaged, and the illegitimate births become the majority in some communities, you know what the world has lost due to the decline of Muslims.
When laws are enacted at an accelerating pace to support those who deviate from innate nature, and people are asked not to use the words father and mother out of respect for families composed of two males or two females, and instead, they are asked to say "parent number one" and "parent number two." But some countries enact laws to prevent the treatment of homosexuals, and the modern World Health Organization criminalizes the treatment of them, and laws are enacted to give lessons to children in schools about the culture of perversion and gender transformation despite the objection of many parents. "Let children be children," which encourages boys and girls that you can transform into the other gender through surgeries and hormones if you wish, and parents are jailed if they object and threatened with taking their children from them, and all this in advanced countries like Canada, Britain, or Scotland. And in our hands is a preserved revelation that draws a straight path to prevent this deviation, you then know what the world has lost due to the decline of Muslims?
Science Fraud and Existential Crisis
When science is falsified and used as a tool for atheistic calls, moral deviation, and capitalist agendas, and prestigious journals publish scientific research whose conclusion is the necessity of enacting legislation to allow the killing of newborns if they suffer from deformities or severe diseases, sometimes at the whim of the parents or the mother. And terms spread in these scientific journals such as "post-birth abortion" and "neonatal euthanasia."
When the majority of youth and girls are lost and wandering, suffering from psychological disorders and loss of purpose, and suicide spreads and loses hope until some resort to burning themselves in their youth. Even the World Health Organization says that eight hundred thousand people commit suicide every year, and suicide is the third leading cause of death among youth aged 15 to 19, and school student suicides in Japan reached their peak in 2020. As in this exhibition in the American city of Fresno, where 1,100 bags were placed representing the number of suicides in the American university annually. And in our hands is a light from Allah and a clear Book that defines the purpose of people in life, gives meaning to their lives, connects them to the Hereafter, and steadies them in afflictions, you then know what the world has lost due to the decline of Muslims?
Digital Slavery and Suppression of Freedoms
When humans turn into numbers with a digital balance, like in China, with surveillance cameras everywhere, and a balance that decreases with your opposition to the instructions of the oppressive state, imposing restrictions on the movement and travel of the dissenter, even on his procreation, and this model is intended to be generalized to other countries, do you know what the world has lost due to the decline of Muslims.
Decline of Women's Status
When women suffer from rape and harassment everywhere, and suffer from sexual exploitation at work, and from objectification and being forced to dress and entice customers so that employers can benefit, as we detailed in the episode "Liberation of the Western Woman," and are subjected to beating and humiliation as in the episode "Beating of Women," and become a tool in the hands of criminals, while we have a book that honors, preserves, and protects her, where the man is responsible for her, "Men are the protectors and maintainers of women," do you know what the world has lost due to the decline of Muslims.
Worship of Other Than God
"And I have only created jinn and men that they may worship Me." And people go or pay to go to venerate statues of Kim Il Sung in North Korea, and statues of the criminal tyrant Mao Zedong in China and other modern idols. And we know that Allah has sent us to take the servants out of the worship of servants to the worship of Allah alone, from the injustice of religions to the justice of Islam, from the narrowness of this world to the vastness of this world and the hereafter. Then you will know what the world has lost due to the decline of Muslims, and you will know the meaning of Allah's saying: "And if Allah had not checked one set of people by means of another, the earth would indeed be full of mischief."
Questions and Responsibility
You might say: Okay, all the problems you mentioned are present among us as Muslims, are we going to commit suicide like we are committing suicide, are we going to oppress and enslave like they oppress and enslave. You might say: Why do you assume that Islam alone is capable of saving humanity? You might say: But you are burdening Muslims with more than they can bear, my brother! Whose humanity do we need to save us? You might say: But the humanity you are talking about will not listen to me in this deteriorating condition and our nation in its current state.
I will not answer these questions today, but in the next episode, if Allah wills, so as not to prolong for you. Today's episode is to wake us up and to feel responsible and merciful towards humanity that we have been entrusted with.
We conclude with a moment with this American woman who embraced Islam after a long life and a bitter journey of confusion and bewilderment. She explained what happened to her after she sat in one session with her daughter who had secretly embraced Islam, then this daughter sat with her one night reading her translated verses. The woman asked a painful question that should remain ringing in our ears: "Why didn't anyone tell us about this?" Perhaps you do not feel that you possess a great treasure, but those who have been deprived of it all their lives feel it. And peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.
